  1. Plain rain in Brightwaters thankfully. Cheap ass thermometer been saying 44 degrees all day.
  2. Location dependent? Or could this have been the Sandy of blizzards if we had one consolidated low? But wouldn’t that have skunked half of our viewing audience?
  3. Stupid question. Did that double barrel lows come to fruition? If so, maybe we should not be so quick to judge lol. Most of us busted high
  4. Yeah I just made the mistake of looking out front. Front path covered again
  5. Hopefully the rain with the warmup isn’t a lot. Could be some flooding issues
  6. On the short list. super cold, no mixing, blizzards are the best
  7. Jan 96 will forever be my favorite, but this definitely challenging it
  8. Agreed. I’m just a little surprised how it came to this. That makes total sense. Ty for esplainin
  9. Ty. I know about orographic lift, just have never seen it to this magnitude on the south shore.
  10. Ty. The sound part i get, but I’d expect the darker blues would be more relegated to the NS
  11. Can someone smarter than me, basically anyone on this board explain what appears to be enhanced snowfall rates as precip crosses the island.
  12. Those darker blues along SS are interesting. Heaviest snow right now since I’ve been up
  13. It’s been non stop, and I think we’re at, or very close to that. But truth be told, I’m a bit of a simpleton so what do I know. Lol
  14. I’m right on SS in Brightwaters, and it’s gotta be 20+ already and it’s still cranking
  15. PSA: clear out the snow around your basement windows, if you have any. Starts melting, it’s going to leak
  16. Glad you put the towel away last eve! 20”+ here too just to your west
  17. I’ve got to be near 20” in Brightwaters, but I’m in between bands now
  18. Someone out east will easily be 24+. Usually Stony Brook maxes out
