Highs in the low 70's last night started decreasing to mid-upper 50's by midday with a soaking rain . Around a half inch so far. What a change from the weekend.

Storms last night were nothing special, but still picked up some needed rain (0.12" arpt, 0.21" in town). They came about an hour after the fireworks. Duluth saw 87 (tied 5th) on the 3rd with 92 (2nd) for the 4th. Another top 5 temp coming today before the dramatic cool down tomorrow with rain. Smoky this morning with CA fires sending smoke (could even smell it) on the NW wind. Air quality alert was issued for today. Pretty good now, tho.

Looks like nature is going to provide the celebratory works this evening. If we cancel fireworks, they will do them next weekend as a part of our annual Heritage Days celebration.

We've had a real hazy sky for a couple days now. Along with lots of cirrus. You can barely see them. Never dawned on me that it might me smoke. Been busy with other stuff.

Mid to upper 80's currently around here with dews in the mid 60's. Air is a little heavy with 10mph breeze from the SW. Juice for tomorrows storms.

Have a look at the extreme hot/cool weather for July 4th. I think we'll be in between these this year.

Here's a look at June broken down in half for extremes and then the monthly. 2021 ended up being in the top 10 for many stations from the eastern Dakotas into Michigan. Definitely a warm one. These stations have 100+ years of really decent data. Unfortunately I-Falls has hardly any prior to 1948.

Mid 60's today with a breezy Lake wind, then the heat starts to build tomorrow with low 90's by the 4th. Then cooling back to normal next week (mid 70's).

Duluth had their warmest June. Beat out 1910. Long time.

0.29" of rain today. Mid 70's and mostly cloudy for most of the day. Looks like scattered showers/storms tomorrow, too, but more widely scattered.

0.25" of rain yesterday with possibly more today. Beautiful weather today with temps in the mid 70's with a light Lake breeze.

These weather patterns the past few years remind me of the 80's (when I was a young man). Jet going wild man (among other things LOL)

Picked up an 1" of rain yesterday. Today it's chilly with a temp in the upper 50's right now, with "popcorn" showers. Have a Fall looking sky on the first full day of astro Summer.

60 and overcast with 0.24" of rain so far. Another batch moving in soon. Looks like some nasty NW winds hitting the North Shore tonight with gusts up to 50 mph possible.
