Ugh our local reporting station is at 93/82 now with a HI of 117F. Is that possible? Feels like it.

90/81. 81! It's almost painfully hot outside in the sun. Imagine the late Cretaceous where it was like this all the time everywhere. What a time to be alive. I wonder what would happen if we had one or two eruptions like hunga tonga every year over a period of a couple years. Society might break down. I just read that hunga was the equivalent of 100 Hiroshima bombs. The dinosaur asteroid was the equivalent of 10 billion Hiroshima bombs. A bad day. That's 100 million hungas going off at once.

I grow potatoes too down in Calvert. I was not expecting them to do that well in the shade and clay soil but randomly I get quite a few every year.
