  1. Just measured, just a shade under 6 inches of snow the OTG here. Side roads are a mess to be on
  2. Rarely do we see a significant snow event in this area with a strong cold frontal passage.
  3. That will cut back the snow total, fwiw temp has now climbed up to 30 here in HPN in the past 1/2 hour. Currently 6 inches OTG.
  4. I remember being stuck at my brother n laws place up in the (Otis, MA) Berkshires, we got walloped with 34 inches of snow from that noreaster. That storm and the blizzard back in 1996 rank as my favorite 2 winter storms.
  5. Remember taking me over three hours to get home that from Shea Stadium after seeing the Bills-Jets game.
  6. Too bad this possible storm could not hold off till the following week, would not mind seeing a white x-mas this year.
  7. Now on generator here , transformer across the street blew. Easily had a wind gust over 40mph a few mins ago.
  8. I totally agree with you about us being spoiled in the past, I guess it's mother natures way in catching up with us. I'm hoping we do see a (just under 7 inches of snow here in HPN last winter) normal winter. Hey it's 2020, anything is possible these days.
  9. I had to turn on the C/A yesterday, due to the humid conditions. Fog was horrible this AM.
  10. I have not used my snow blower the past 2 winters, IF those odds of an EPO+/AO+ pattern do increase, it's possible it could be 3 straight winters. Time will tell.
  11. Bluewave, is this La Nina favored to be weak or strong? Craig Allen yesterday mentioned that we are looking at a strong LaNina. He disagreed with NOAA's outlook for this upcoming winter.
  12. Would not mind seeing at 3 inches or more here in HPN, we are long over due for some decent saturating rains.
  13. Gorgeous weather up here in the northern Berks, temps in the low 60's.
  14. TWC noted that 18K are without power in parts of Maryland, seems that part of the Mid Atlantic is a magnet for severe weather this summer.
  15. You hafta be kidding me? https://www.washingtonpost.com/weather/2020/08/06/naming-heat-waves/
