I was a sophomore at NCSU. We lost heat in the fraternity house for 2-3 days during that event. The K-mart on Western Blvd probably sold dozens of space heaters to my fraternity brothers during that period. Amazing we didn't burn the house down. I remember watching the Super Bowl with a heavy coat on inside the house.

I saw a Weathernation crew in a parking lot on New Garden Rd in Greensboro around 7:30 this morning. They were not broadcasting, just sitting in their truck. I'm guessing 1/8" of ice on branches and outside furniture. Steady rain coming through now.
