I mean it's not like we get forecasted for 90 and end up at 75. It's more like forecast 90 or 91 and wind up at 88 or 89, almost every time. Definitely ends as swimming weather, just rare to go above forecasted highs when they get to the upper 80s and 90s.
Honestly, January felt long. It was nearly unrelenting cold and snow, which is great, but imagine three full months of that. It'd be amazing and I do want to see it, but I'd get tired of it by February.
If it is what happens, can't do anything about it. We still had cold periods after that time seeing as the month through yesterday was only .6 degrees above average (or essentially average), just really bad timing with precipitation.
Yeah, it’s unrealistic to think that there will be not one more snowflake this year. Heading into March is the natural end to winter, but it’s nearly never a shutout.
Can’t underperform if you were never in it, lol.
But maybe if someone got .7” of rain instead of .9” it could under perform. I’ll stay tuned to see if that’s the case.
I just can't get too bothered by it anymore. Of course I want tons of snow and cold for three months, but it's always been unrealistic. We'll have it again one day, just gotta wait.
I didn't say it wasn't a bad month. Just saying it's definitely not a torch. There's too much over-exaggeration and hand wringing over things nobody can change.
A torch is warm, if it is not warm it is not a torch. This month will not be a torch, no matter what anyone says. There will be a lot of rain, as a result of an unlucky pattern, not a torch.
