    NOT an expert... but understanding some of what you question, yes it is likely to improve. But, computations are only as good as the input data. What did someone just say about stating the obvious We need better/ more input data for a better result

    It funny, but as much as we bitch about the last few seasons, and mull the impact of CC etc... I hear from more and more people who welcome it with wide open arms. My husband is one of them... has dreams of growing palm trees in Mass in 20 years I've even seen articles from other countries where they welcome the warming... Drives me crazy

    I wouldn't get your hopes up... but it also isn't something to toss yet either. Confluence is a funny thing. I have seen times when we're supposed to be blocked and get hit (and vice versa)

    Basically right there with you. I do have FB, mostly to keep up with family and the antique car and radio/TV crowd. The strange backless dress girls i don't know friend requests get deleted immediately. Social media is so entirely over rated and over used

    And it isn't the cold that's screwing the good pattern... it's the Atlantic blocking. So many cry for the NAO, but this is a great example of why it can be a bad thing

    LOL me too. Seriously though, on my way in to work this A.M. the guy in front of me looks to already be celebrating. All over the road, lingering at stop signs... 25 mph... HATE to see it!!

    Another day, another roll of the dice by the GFS. We've got at least several more days of this before anything is settled for all of those who live and die by each OP run. Here, I'm just glad to see activity and a favorable pattern for now

    Could you recommend one? I'd love to try an American Chestnut, but other options could be nice as well. There were two Chestnut trees in the woods near my grandparents house in SImsbury years ago. My grandfather and myself used to check on them regularly... but last time I was up there was in 1992! I doubt they still exist, but I really should check sometime.

    Yeah it looks pretty weak now, but it's obvious the GFS doesn't know what to key into and where right now. Like was said yesterday, treat it as just another ensemble member until we get closer. It amazes me how much it shifts every run now until within 3 days or so
