  1. No wadding. Just one lousy wipe with the last three squares on the role, cardboard showing through and all.
  2. if we are measuring this from a decadal standpoint sure, I was more speaking on the tenure of this particular season.
  3. We are? That’s been the theme mostly this winter, up & in... I get that this could be the most likely outcome, but no, we are not due.
  4. Models are in relatively good agreement with certain aspects of the event at D5. GFS/CMC starting to look pretty similar albeit temp profiles. Wild card for us will be whether or not this thing has enough dynamics to create some cold. The airmass is so very borderline.
  5. Just has a shredded look to it. Typical SWFE is more of a wall of precip “thump” no? This has been kind of on and off and looks to continue that way.
  6. I’d be pleasantly surprised with 6 for my location. Radar doesn’t look like it would support that, We’ll see.
  7. Hmmm... that radar is looking cheesy... Swiss Cheesy. That’s not gonna help us reach those high end numbers.
  8. Coming down at a moderate clip, approaching heavy. Nice flakes and relatively calm.
  9. Storm porn has desensitized the weenie.
  10. That doesn’t look too bad to mine weenie eyes.
  11. Timing of this speeding up at all? That initial band isn’t far off...
  12. I mean it’s 8 days out, there is hope for everyone at this point. We have seen plenty of modeling head-fakes and near term changes this season. I’d assume this is no different. Let’s give it some time. We can start to panic if on Friday it’s a raging cutter to Quebec.
  13. Curious to see if the mesos continue to ramp up till go time or do some backpedaling. 18z will be interesting in that regard.
  14. Probably a bit off topic, so feel free to move... Has anyone been following the abundance of volcanic activity across the globe recently? Most are aware of Taal and Whakaari, which were substantial eruptions, but there has been many more. On Tuesday, Shishaldin Volcano erupted in Alaska sending ash 25,000 ft up. Thursday, Mt Popocatepetl in Mexico erupted with a similar ash cloud. In yet another eruption, Sabancaya, in Peru blew its top recently as well. That seems like quite a bit of ash going into the atmosphere.. Anyone care to shed some light on why there has been such an uptick as of late and what/when the resulting effect on planetary weather could be?
