  1. That is not what I wanted to hear... This blows.
  2. You would assume so, however I’m not sure how much volume each agent can handle. In the appraisal industry it does take some time to process the appraisals. It’s an absolute feeding frenzy out there so hard to say if it’s maxed out yet.
  3. Every state has different requirements. Years back in CT it used to be relatively easy, just had to pass one test and you were in. The laws have changed since and now you need 4yrs in a relatable study, and that’s relatively broad and a more difficult(more so for commercial appraisal)comprehensive state required test, rigorous state evaluation in front of the appraisal board and some fees as well associated to the licensing.
  4. Yeah, lol... same story from her, almost verbatim. Good for you guys, at least there has been some economic growth for a lucky few during these times.
  5. Yeah, the housing market went ballistic during this COVID period. My sister owns an appraisal business and has been absolutely slammed for about a year now. Incredible refi market with the low interest rates and mass exodus/transplants bolstering sales also. She has had an insane run and it’s showing no sign of slowing down as of yet.
  6. And...... we have a couple soakers showing up on guidance. La la la lock it up!
  7. I saw a newly sprouted dandelion in the park yesterday while walking the dog. SMFH
  8. I dunno, the fabled 26th potential and short window beyond, before February hostility could settle in, isn’t all that inspiring ATM from about the MA/VT border on south. Looks good for ski country and NNE sword fights, but not so much for SNE.
  9. Yeah and the entire second half of the storm down this way was like 1:6 type stuff...12” of serious meat and potatoes type pack. Didn’t stand a chance against that grinch, vaporized it in 12 hours. Who knows, if that didn’t happen we still could have had some of the glacier pack around today. Well, subtract yesterday’s rain too, lol.
  10. Morning runs taking the primary wayyyy west for the 26th, like Lake Michigan and trying for some redevelopment but in some instances sends it due East, almost ESE off southern Jersey. Not really a KU look, but as discussed this isn’t a KU pattern really. I’ll be happy to freeze the mud and cover the grass at this point. Just make it look like winter FFS.
  11. This shunted, suppressed look could have some legs IMO. Most of the globals have this idea to some extent. Kinda flip-flopping every other run. EURO latching on last night doesn’t give my weenie the warm and fuzzies. Bit chaotic with the northern stream getting involved, so we’ll have to wait and see, but don’t discount the suppression possibility completely.
  12. One of the most painfully boring winter stretches since I have been lurking/posting here for the last 12 years...
  13. A couple nice cutters on this morning’s guidance. Sweet.
  14. This isn’t as bad as getting the feels from some February dashboard warmth, but it’s close, damn close...
  15. Agreed, although even NNE hasn’t done very well thus far, which one could argue as anomalous.
  16. Yeah, I’m with you Ray wrt to where we are at with this winter thus far as a whole. One warning event that painfully washed away a few days later(albeit that’s already an improvement when compared to the last two winters in SNE). Fast forward to Jan 7th and across guidance nothing screaming excitement for at least 7 days, possibly more. I know, I know, things can produce seemingly out of nowhere with all these short waves flying around... But too many cooks in the kitchen can also strip us of realizing a high end event during this favorable period. Not a fan of burning up peak climo days without much showing up on guidance.
