  1. I doubt .5" this week here. Granted I wasn't home for some of the showers, and my davis is off. I believe your 1.4"
  2. yeah I wasn't speaking of widespread accumulating snows or even snowstorms, just a few flakes in the air as well as frost/freezes. It's probably anecdotal but they seemed more frequent say 15 years ago and prior. It's late Sept./ early Oct. feel out there with full-on yellowjackets, flies, spiders still thriving.
  3. back in the day we'd (SNE) usually at least see a little snow in the air Oct/early Novie. That seems to have become more of a rarity
  4. Tick tock, cold season is on the clock. Much of Mowvember looks cooked,we'll see late month but we may just want to FF to December. That's one month gone
  5. should be nice with PHL/DC climate
  6. Yeah I'm up at 5-530 and tbe darkness after 6 and even 7 is awful. Depressing and tiring
  7. Stein has dug in and is fully entrenched. Maybe we'll see some rains this cold season but it could be an overall dry 'un
  8. 18z gfs has that future system going bonkers inCarib with a big Jamaica/Cuba hit, then looks primed for a decent FL hit/capture
  9. more cold overall temps in tropopause?
  10. ATL numbers and ace are way above normal, so yes we know how it turned out?
  11. A Novie thread may be necessary, as there will probably be some near record-breaking stuff popping (=
  12. No trolling, this is somewhat unusual autumn. We do have a mild-down coming late week, fall-like- but then it's torchy Looking ahead... Trough dominance looks to be rather short lived with ridging building in by mid next week. CPC has also noted the "return of the ridge" with the 8-14 day outlook heavily favoring above normal temps and below normal precipitation. It`s quite possible temps in the 70s return to round out the month; could we see the 70s persist into November? It`s too early to nail down specifics, but those planning on Trick or Treating will certainly want to check back before Halloween to see how many layers they may, or may not, need to wear to head out on the town!
  13. At torch spots, sure. Mostly 60's-70's fare though
  14. From what I remember, the recluse/black widows that make it over here are generally stowaways in cargo, etc.
