    18Z HRRR is better. Surface low in SW VA at 06Z instead of central WV. Snow through NOVA and DC at that time.

    I am with you. I have snowpack and sub 20 degree temps going on right now. I will be happy with some snow showers that drop an inch at this point.

    Alll models at 12Z were more diggy. I noticed it on the NAM right away. The Euro still has a weaker wave than the other models. But really good trends so far today.

    That surface representation is perfect for us out here. But it isnt a very vigorous vort. Seems to be how we win this winter though. The strong ones cut.

    Being that far east you were probably a bit warmer in the upper layers. 20 degrees is 20 degrees.

    That band overnight saved us. It was coming down really well for a while there.

    3.25 out here. Still some pixie dust falling. But not showing on radar. Gorgeous morning. Its been a really nice first half of January out here. No monsters. But anytime you have snow falling 5 of the first 15 days of a month it is a win.
