EPS precip field is a little north of the op. Leads me to believe the op is a touch south of the mean?

That kuchera map is implying 20:1 ratios out this way. Not really buying that. But it is a 10 inch storm here at least.

Nothing wrong with this run at all. It's 8-12+ for everyone.

It keeps expanding the precip field with every run. Central VA still the place to be for the jack imo.

OK. It is pretty much a disaster run.

GFS firing up the second wave now.

It's just weird to me. Because the Euro used to be the model that liked to hold back energy. It is becoming even harder to understand model trends since the upgrades.

It is interacting at 102. Might be delayed. But give enough time for lower confluence in the east. Could still be a good run.

He put out a pretty decent video yesterday. He was geeking out like I havent seen him do in a long time. Difficult guy to communicate with to say the least. But the guy knows his weather.

Euro run this morning is amazing. One thing I love about this setup is even if the phase fails we are going to get the WAA part of this through our area. Yes it would be a smaller storm then. But it is nice knowing a full failure is pretty much off the table thos far out. It's gonna snow yall. And I feel bad for the people to the south getting that horrific ice storm. Multiple days without power due to infrastructure damage during an arctic outbreak is no fun.

Just a couple of observations. After the storm the models are showing a pretty dangerous artic outbreak. Like pipe bursting stuff. That cold is legit. Straight out of the arctic. This is also going to be a historic ice storm somewhere in the south. Over an ich of QPF as rain falling into sub 20 degree temps is horrific. I have seen it once before. And it is no joke. Just a massive hit to a large part of the country. Historic if it is being modelled accurately.

DC 1.44 QPF on the CMC. I think we can get even more juice than that. Need the NAM runs.

Yes. Always love seeing the wave hit a wall in KY. It is as good as it gets for us. Its the CMC so I am not holding my breath. But that is about perfect for us to get destroyed.
