Had a lull with pixie dust for about 30 minutes. When i say dust I mean it. Looks like flour. Now big dendrites mixing back in again. What an amazing storm. I have had just about every kind of snowflake there is fall here in the past 30 hours.

1.3 inches in two hours. In a bit of a lull here now. Down to light snow. Waiting for the pivot and another quick burst to wrap this up for my area. 6.6 for the event and still falling. Great storm!

Martinsburg about to get smoked with some heavy returns. Enjoy! Looks like the heavy band will make it up to Northern MD. That is probably great news for most of us. Will take a while for it to pivot and dry up. Another 2 or 3 inches not out of the question IMO.

I wonder how much if it has to do with elevation and lift? I am on top of a mountain and it is rare for bands to move in from the south here. They usually move in from the west which gives the western facing slopes the advantage from orographic lift.

Hmmm. Another band of moderate snow moving to north for us western folks. I may have called this one too soon. May get that bonus inch after all.

Been out all morning sledding with my son. He is 18 and I am too old for that stuff Swept my board twice and have 5.3 inches so far for this event. Just light flurries out here now. I hope to pick up another inch with the ULL. But if I dont no big deal. This has been a much needed great event! And we have an EPIC pattern incoming. Congrats to you all to the east. Enjoy!

Wife just picked the son up from work. Says the roads are a disgrace. What else is new out here? 10:15 Light snow 2.6 inches total 27 degrees.

Petersburg snow hole. We might lull a little bit but it isnt as bad as it looks. There is a dead radar area down there.
