Yep. Blowing around everywhere. Snow drifts always amaze me the most about big storms. What causes them to form where they do. I am guessing some kind of eddy in the wind causes it. But when it comes to shoveling I would prefer if it stayed on the roof.

I am just sitting here salivating at the 2m temp maps while we are getting pummeled. Low teens to high single digits west of the fall line. Been so long since we have had one that cold. Hope it's correct.

Yep. I just hope we do get a decent hit with this one down here. Once the pattern relaxes we know you guys will get hammered up there while we may get jumped over. Nice seeing the cold wanting to stick around during our prime climo period though.

Oh yeah. Usually from us up through PSU and Mappy into Southern PA get that western death band. I would prefer to have the precip max though obviously.

And that's 10:1. I can guarantee you with the temps being modelled we will do far better than that. It's a foot region wide most likely.

I really dont get the angst over the 18Z GFS. It looks great at this lead time. It's gonna snow ya'll. And not everyone gets the bullseye. Thats the way the game goes.

Man. That would be a historic storm for NC. Seems we have been saying that alot for the southern folks over the past decade.

RGEM would have been even better. Better PV placement and less suppression.

If it is wound up like some of the models say it will be. Then mix is definitely on the table. Always is for our area.

Its a good sign when the CAD is pushing way past you into NC. If that is right its going to take a while to scour out that much cold air.

6 hour 10:1 snowfall map on the UKIE is heavenly. Absolutely pummeled. Would be 2 inch per hour rates for most of us. Insanity.
