This strikes me as a system that might change heading in short order. That laggy piece of energy might be toying with the models. Take a bit of time to sort that out.

Clown maps should be tasty.
-
Beast mode run.

Another epic snowstorm for the se?

Seems kinda weak sauce ish. You’d almost think it should blow up more. It’s early still.
gets going a bit later but pretty far offshore. -

Horrible pattern on the gfs and cmc
I thought a weak EL Nino was supposed to be great for our area.
Everything is going wrong.
Yeah and the Titanic was supposed to be unsinkable too. It's funny when humans think they have something figured out and then nature says "hold my beer"

Gfs looks interesting in 6-7 days.
Yeah we don’t toss. -
3.5 final(9cms). Nice wintery landscape.

I try to appreciate that not everyone is getting the goods. It's been good here.
There’s a winner in every pattern somewhere. You deserve it after you got hosed last winter. -
Crash at Leo’s?
Nick’s place. He’s been quietly cashing in on this poor pattern. -
Damn that’s a close shave on the gfs. Good to have something to track at least.

4” here to pad the stats. Flipped to pingers with rain not far away. Looks nice now but should all be a memory by this time tomorrow. Kinda like how this winter has gone so far.

Probably another cutter on the 8th or 9th if one were to roll the euro past the 240hr period. Verbatim

Merry Christmas from north of the border. Just a trace of snow otg but some currier and Ives flakes falling makes it festive none the less. Here’s hoping for better times ahead. Cheers.

There's a small part of me that wants to see the next 3 systems fail just to see all the whiners on here go nuclear. It's kind of funny sometimes. You would think after years (sometimes decades) on the forums, some would eventually grasp the concept of probabilistic forecasting....but it's like watching the hamster on the wheel in reality.
You forgot to throw in the mid Atlantic gets spanked system somewhere in between the cutters.-

The euro was mildly entertaining in the long range. Couple of potential threats. Latitude looks to be helpful.

Man this was the EF5 version of a snowpack eater. Just wiped everything bare. Those with well built packs just reduced to rubble. This thing had rains right up into northern Quebec. Left no one unscathed. Crazy.

More rains to Maine coming up.
Yep. Looks like we’ll need a couple of sacrificial lambs to kick start this better pattern. At least that’s the hope. -
Winters are not like they used to be. There was never rain in winter 20 plus years ago. All there was in winter back then was snow. No freezing rain either.
Ahh wut? There were lots of rain events in the 90’s. You probably weren’t even alive back then. Go back to watching your storm. Your getting 6-10. Enjoy cause it’s history next week. -
Euro showing a little Christmas love. See if that holds.

Just looking at the individual 6z gefs members, you'd think this would be closer to the coast. The operational just refuses to budge to the left. It's like this winter is finding new ways to spit in our face.
