    We may have scraped our way to close to normal but optics were pretty bad. Long lulls in between snow events, huge Christmas washout, bare ground half the winter, really degraded it despite what numbers say. Did grab one 12”+ storm which don’t grow on trees around here so that was a plus. Would rate winter a C. #NovaScotiaStrong

    Measured 43cms (17”). Lots of drifts around. Snow is surprisingly dense and has weight. Ratios hovered around 10:1 so not as fluffy as I would’ve thought. Time for cleanup but looks like deep winter #NovaScotiaStrong

    Up to 8” now and snowing hard. Vis around couple hundred yards. Wind was light but now is picking up. Rates have been ~2”hr. #NovaScotiaStrong

    Snow stated little more than two hours ago. Already 3.5” down. Heavy snow with little wind. Great snow growth. Seems to be the theme of this system. Haven’t even got into the meat of the storm yet. Impressive and worth the wait. #NovaScotiaStrong

    Storm final. 7” snow followed by 3” of rain. 60mph gusts. Temp currently 52F and lots of sun. Snow is history and feels like spring. #NovaScotiaStrong

    Jeez we might get into the 50's or 60's on Christmas day in the warm sector. If the snow is all melted, i'm going to fire up the grill, maybe have friends over for outdoor activities like washer toss. Make something out of nothing.
