  1. Almost a month past the summer solstice, it is dark again on the early pre 6am commute into DC- baby steps back to winter....
  2. WB 12Z EPS through the 28th. Maybe not as hot, moisture to the SE.
  3. NWS heat advisories are confusing. Tomorrow will be hot. Excessive heat warnings to my west, north, east, and south...come on. 100 here today.
  4. He did, says volcanic activity decreasing but that there is a lag response. Says upcoming period will be interesting to see if he is correct. Hope he is right.....
  5. Post from JB on WB. Looks like we are out of luck until after 2130... see you then.
  6. Canadian and GFS did better than the EURO. Really a quandary when even inside 48 hours the models struggle but the lesson learned is if there is a sharp cutoff and you are near it, don't count on anything.
  7. Light rain. Will take every drop.
  8. The ground is a little wet. If this were winter there would be wailing and gnashing of teeth. In fairness, the western suburbs were always on the edge of the precipitation. I was hoping for a .25. Don't think it is going to happen....
  9. Western suburbs....very frustrating. Blue skies to our west. Dark clouds to our east; couple sprinkles.
  10. WB 18Z EURO continues to show rain west of 95...
  11. WB 12Z GFS, rain totals nice tick west this run....
  12. At OZ WB EURO has ticked west with heavier precipitation while 0Z GFS remains further east.
  13. Brutal cutoff remains for weekend moisture WB 18Z EURO.
  14. Know the western burbs are in trouble when we need the WB 18Z ICON to verify over the 18Z EURO inside 4 days for some decent rain.
  15. Yah, double middle finger for the western burbs....WB 12Z EURO
  16. Looks like two plumes of moisture to me. Beryl's remnants head into the Great Lakes, but maybe it pulls up moisture off the Atlantic. Unfortunately, someone is going to miss out between the two moistures surges. TBD exactly where the dry slot sets up. WB 12Z EPS shows the possibilities.
  17. Latest WB EURO EPS supports a hurricane hit looking more likely along the Texas coast by Monday am.
  18. WB 12Z on the 4th EPS compared to 6Z today. Definitely a trend north with TX landfall with Beryl looking more likely.
  19. Latest WB EURO weeklies through August 1. Wetter and seasonably warm.
  20. 1.5 and still raining lightly...GN.
  21. Spoke to soon. Raining again! We seem to be on the southern edge of the training. Radar not picking up the southern edge well.
  22. 1.27 and still raining. Most rain in forever from one storm.
