I like to lighten the mood with the snow maps with all of the gloom and doom about the winter forecast. I realize they are mostly fantasy but can in a general sense signal windows of opportunity. Lot of Eeyores in this group. I can get that watching the news every night... Eeyore is a character in the Winnie-the-Pooh books by A. A. Milne. He is generally characterized as a pessimistic, gloomy, depressed, anhedonic, old grey stuffed donkey.

WB 12Z EPS fantasy snow maps. 5 out of 50 would make many smile.... plus control

We’ll see if the teleconnections signaling a colder period starting later next week through Thanksgiving holds...EURO 12Z.

I enjoy reading from the experts but something tells me 2020 has a few more surprises up its sleeve...should be an interesting last three months in more ways than one....

WeatherBell canceled winter. Plus 3 above average temps and less than 75% snowfall. Worst MA maps I have ever seen from them. Hopefully as wrong as they were last year again.

WB EPS Probability of 3 inches or more. For DMV, EPS says we wait until the end of the month for our next bout of winter precip after this weekend.

I have been thinking about this....The first big storm I remember is 1978, when I was 10. Going years without a big snowstorm is nothing new around here. 09-10 was a miracle.

Seems that way. I like the probability maps because it helps me to see if there are any trends developing Or not as the case this winter for DMV snow threat.

0z EPS probability of 3 inches or more. Most of the probability in DMV is associated with days 10-15.

EPS WB 12Z Probability of 3 inches or More Through the 30th.....not very impressive yet.

GEFS WB Probabilities of 3 inches or more through the following weekend. Most of this potential in the DMV is the result of the potential for a storm as depicted for NEXT weekend.

GEFS WB 6Z Probabilities of snowfall 3 inches or more. Small percentages for this weekend and more optimistic next weekend and beyond compared to EPS.
