Monday seems to be trending in the right direction???? I won’t stop watching it yet...although GEFS shows trough way too progressive. At least it is not a torch pattern.

18Z WB EURO, under 3 days and wildly different each run....

We were never in the game for snow this weekend, but wow NE PA and interior NE really got shafted. Nothing here for the next seven days, but chilly... WB GEFS thru day 7.

18Z WB EURO....major rain event heading in. Get the leaves up before Sat. No freezing air for this weekend.

About 10% of the Members show tv snow for far NW burbs on Saturday. Not worth posting the probability maps yet. I am being more picky this year....:)

12Z GEFS not honking about any snow storms...let’s see if the EURO/EPS throws us any bones...

WB 12Z GFS Next weekend fantasyland...I have no expectations but this December is better than the last couple to watch...

The reality looks like the next two weeks will see us get two big rain storms. None of the ensembles show anything to shout about to indicate an even minor winter event East of the mountains at this time. EURO overnight was horrible taking the second low into the Midwest.

18Z GEFS sees a trough in the East next weekend. Few members show snow but no snow maps...yet.

WB 6Z GFS. Thanksgiving week storm is still there. Only one member of 6z GEFS supports a snowy solution but it is further SE than the operational shown. 0z EPS also just one member.

I like to lighten the mood with the snow maps with all of the gloom and doom about the winter forecast. I realize they are mostly fantasy but can in a general sense signal windows of opportunity. Lot of Eeyores in this group. I can get that watching the news every night... Eeyore is a character in the Winnie-the-Pooh books by A. A. Milne. He is generally characterized as a pessimistic, gloomy, depressed, anhedonic, old grey stuffed donkey.

WB 12Z EPS fantasy snow maps. 5 out of 50 would make many smile.... plus control

We’ll see if the teleconnections signaling a colder period starting later next week through Thanksgiving holds...EURO 12Z.
