    I just got back from Church praying for snow….what is happening??!!!!

    WB 12Z GEFS is actually pretty good for the next two weeks…

    In summary, only the GFS and Ukie give us some hope for the Saturday storm at 12Z. EURO has a storm in its fantasy range which this year is anything beyond 48 hours, at Day 9. Not feeling warm and fuzzy but better than last year by far.

    EURO is a Miller B disaster….

    Canadian keeps the Miller B scenario and hits Maine.

    Again, a souther storm unlike a Miller B to New England or a Great Lakes cutter is worth tracking over the next week. Just one run much different from last run so we have not settled on a solution yet…

    We asked for a Miller A, much improved WB 12Z

    WB 0Z GFS….so big storm is still there but model is a fish storm for the MA 7 plus days out. I would rather have out to sea then up the Great Lakes at this point, although unclear how this comes close to the coast without more ridging out west.

    To me, GFS not showing much through Wed.

    WB 0Z ICON Sunday through early Wed. (SE VA is tonight).

    WB latest Extended GEFS likes the late January/early February period.

    May see more snow Sunday evening than Tuesday….WB 0Z 12K NAM

    WB 18Z GEFS low positions for end of January event as already stated better than 12Z.

    GFS for middle of week still bears watching but does not deliver anything of significance this run. Is a tad wetter compared to 12Z.

    Yes, I won’t post the mean or percentages or will have everyone taking my head off…ignorance is bliss.

    I think the ensembles have shown the colder pattern very nicely but for storms I don’t think they are any better than just looking at the global models. They flop around like a fish also.

    Being a lawyer, I will post exhibit A to prove to PSU and to others with selective memory that I do post positive EPS Maps as well.

    I post a lot of snow maps, both good and bad. Actually I am happy with January. It was cold and I have about 10 inches to date. Would love a big storm by mid March though.

    Trying reverse psychology….at least I won’t be up to look at the OZ EURO for awhile.

    I hope the EPS continues to be wrong….WB 12Z.

    Guess it is going to be a long 2 weeks if we are comparing Op runs at Day 9….WB 12Z EURO, Can and GFS.

    WB 6Z GFS….maybe we will see something trend in our favor over the next 5 days…
