  1. I'm frustrated to man. The optimistic side of me is really hoping that things will turn around. I'm not blind to what the models are showing, and most people on here intelligent enough to know what's going on. The difference is, we're not sticking your heads in the sand like this ugly pattern doesn't exist, we're trying to find pieces in the long range that shows a change. I think we would all agree that it would really suck if we had a second year in a row with crappy winter weather. I'm definitely not trying to attack you or anyone else who are taking the long-range models for what they are at the moment. Just know that there's a lot of us that also know that they can change and they probably will. The question is when.
  2. I think the main issue is the approach. Your approach is just nothing's happening and nothing's going to happen. Close the shades till the end of the winter. The point that several people are trying to make is that things probably will change in the way. The forecasts are over 2 weeks out. So your comments always come across as if it's done and it looks like it's going to be that way through the winter. If you had a different approach You probably wouldn't get the comment you're getting.
  3. Kev.... Where do you come up with this S&$t??? Lol. Yes.. it will be an impactful storm. But schools closed..... Massive winds..... It's not a hurricane. And your comment about it being a warm Core system? You're like a kid who is waiting to see Santa and his reindeer come flying through the sky Christmas eve. Let's be done with this rain and wind and bring the Snow in so we can stop the insanity. ;-)
  4. Absolutely! And you damn well know that if it does happen that way that you'll be on the same bus and I will be forgotten. As far as December goes. C'mon on man. That's a silly question.
  5. I seriously can't with Kev. I don't know where he comes up with these things. When he gets fixated on something, he takes it to the top. It's fine, it adds some comedy to the discussion. And yes, winter starts next week officially. I think we'd all would have liked to have seen a little snow on the ground for Christmas. But it doesn't end the winter if we don't. And that's a lot of what we've been seeing in these discussions. Thank God for you guys!
  6. I agree. It seems like they just want to find the worst of the weather and drive it in with a screwdriver. At this point doing a white Christmas is probably not happening which is fine. But there is still January, February and even March of winter. Things can turn around and there can be many surprises. Thank God for the few and year that are willing to look ahead knowing that we have a long ways to go.
  7. Winters are cancelled for this area. Climate change now makes our area like Florida weather. No more snow for us. Forum is closed. Good bye all!
  8. Not giving up, just not banking on or going to get frustrated if we don't see snow this month ( but I would love it ).
  9. I'm thinking the best thing to do is just let December go. Stop thinking that we're going to get that white Christmas snow covered ground for the holiday. If it happens then great. For me. The end goal is that we really do change to a winter pattern as we head to January and then I can last for a few months. I guarantee you that if it does happen that way that all of this will be forgotten. Too many people put too much stock into December being a snowy month and it's just not climatologically that way ( at least not southern Eastern New England on South ).
  10. I noticed that they've taken the temperatures down for Tuesday into the 30s for high is here in Connecticut. That's a change that wasn't in the forecast this morning.
  11. Torch Tiger.... It's a joke silly! Surprised you give me the Weenie symbol..lol
  12. I would agree that in the back of our minds we be like holy mother of god. However, it does go a lot further than losing cell service. I remember back in 2011 we had that October snow event. We had severe tree damage and no power for 11 days. To be honest it was not fun, it was very costly for us personally as we lost a lot of trees in the yard and had a lot of damage. Damage. What I want that again knowing what would happen? No. But yes, there's that strange excitement Deep down..lol
  13. Man, you know as well as I do that their intentions are to dig deep to try and push people over the edge. Come on man. Has nothing to do with the matter of opinion. I'm fine with a matter of opinion. If someone feels like the warmer regime is going to take over because of what they're seeing then I wouldn't argue with that. A couple of these people are not doing that. Anyway, let's just agree to disagree. In the end most of us are here to discuss what's going to be happening with the weather in the upcoming months ahead. Let's hope for everything that we would like to see, which is snow lol
  14. Well... I have faith in humanity.... Let's see how long this other personality lasts... Just saying. Lol
  15. Sometimes a few of them will come in with some constructive info. But truly, read their posts, all they like to do is dig into people and push the knife in deeper. It's like they get pleasure out of it. That's what I don't like about their comments. But it's all good
  16. Don't you love that? The only ones that give the weenie symbols are the same ones who post all the negative crap. They never have anything good to bring to the table. It makes me laugh every time I see it
  17. Good read. He still sees a transition to colder weather around Christmas and moving forward. I like the optimism that he feels. It's definitely going to be different from last year as a lot of people have been saying. Patience is key
  18. Although there's many of you that post here and have a realistic but optimistic view, and also have a constructive not destructive conversation with others on here of what's going to happen with the weather, there are select three or four that come on here and like to dig the knife in deeper and deeper. Now I get that there's frustration with the way things have gone so far ( and I'm talking southern New England on South as I think most of northern New England has been doing fairly well for this time. But at the same token, it's December 11th. Yes, as of the last few days, the long range models have shifted back to a not so good look. But they can easily shift back as they will probably do.
