  1. Ive always wanted to hear some ice thunder. I’ve heard snow thunder before and it was awesome.
  2. 26F in Cary and 27% humidity. Drier than a desert out there.
  3. From WRAL. Forecasting 1 inch of freezing rain.
  4. https://www.wral.com/weather/winter-weather-likely-upcoming-weekend-jan2425-2026/ They’re saying to choose from a trusted source. But I like my 25inch snow totals on the weather ap. I think a lot of time though they’re pretty realistic there. I do miss Fish’s stuff.
  5. Good gracious that gradient is too much. Just a couple counties is all it from oblivion to nothing.
  6. For once there’s not a huge gradient through Wake County.
  7. 42 and rain here. No way it can get cool enough at this point.
  8. Congratulations to the GA peeps. Just a cold rain here.
  9. I’m quietly hoping for a nice snowfall. Don’t really care about accumulations but something to look at out the window is nice. I keep seeing increasing amounts so while I won’t get my hopes up too much because I know how these things can go, I’m all in on something happening. It’s been cloudy here all day so while the temps are higher than what’s optimal, the ground shouldn’t be too warm so if a band sets up for an hour it’ll cool off fast.
  10. We had some pretty flakes in west Cary.
  11. At least this year won’t be a 0 again! got an imperial stout and the fireplace on watching it fall in the lights.
  12. Wake, Johnston, Durham Co schools closed now.
  13. I haven’t got milk or bread yet. This is too early in the season but I’ll take it.
  14. https://www.wral.com/story/wednesday-s-low-temperature-might-have-been-triangle-s-warmest-on-record/22064007/ interesting article about a possible warm low record at RDU.
  15. What was impressive about yesterday was the high min’s that we had.
  16. Hit 17% humidity and a 20mph gust today. My face is windburned from being outside all day.
  17. What a sight it would be to have snow with the cherry blossoms blooming. Let’s go!
