Hit 104 IMBY and was on track to be the 2nd hottest day until clouds came in. Storms at bay now

Finally got below 100 at 6:40pm and below 90 at 10:15pm.

We got a smudge of rain today. Now the cells are going around Wake. One cell is going north the other is going south.

My last measurable rainfall IMBY was May 24.

It rained so close I could smell the petrichor but nothing fell here.

I thought for sure last night that cell coming from chapel hill would get western wake but alas nothing! One bright side with the drought is that I don’t think I’ve had to kill a mosquito yet this year. From that perspective it’s been really awesome
