    I agree with met I think the northern mountains will be the sweet spot for this one. Looks like a good bit of moisture and shouldn’t have temp issues like people south and east of them.

    Picked up 2.25” in Northern Macon County with a low of 19 this morning. A nice surprise to start winter in early November.

    Had a heavy burst come through Franklin. Lasted 10-15 minutes. Coated everything other than the rd in a 1/4-1/2”.

    Light to moderate snow at the moment and a light dusting already. Really wasn’t expecting much more than flurries before this evening so this is a early win in the event for me on this part.

    Was about to say the same thing we’ve got a crazy storm blowing up just to the north of the tons of lighting and rains getting heavier. NWS just issued a special weather statement for 40 mph winds and 1/2 inch hail

    A dusting here maybe up to a 1/2” on elevated surfaces. Still light snow falling.

    Gonna be elevation dependent down this way. Had 33 and moderate snow on cowee when I left with elevated surfaces getting wet. In franklin it’s 36 and may even have some plain rain in it.

    Flakes starting to fly here. Temp has rose to 34 so gonna have to have some decent rates to accumulate.

    It’s been real quiet in here. I hope everyone is enjoying this nice warmer weather. Looks like the pattern will flip back to cold around February 10-12.

    Nothing really reaching the ground at the moment. Seen a couple of flurries about 30 minutes ago.

    I think we need one more tick NW before we could score an inch or two. But the way this thing has trended today it may just do it. To bad this didn’t start a day earlier.

    There’s virtually nothing in Franklin. Crazy how much change there can be in just a few miles.

    A little over 2” here this morning. A few flurries still blowing around, and temp is 9 degrees.

    Pouring snow at the moment there was a slight let up from 8-9. Closing in on 2”, what a nice surprise.

    They’ll be hammered I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they get 8+. Radar upstream looks great at the moment. Heck I’m starting to think I may crack 3” it’s flat out cranking snow right now.

    Really coming down! Nice to see since the Tuesday system trended away from us.

    Coming down at a decent clip everything is coated, that didn’t have snow left over. Is this flow snow yet or still from the low. If so trajectory must be good for me, I may be able to squeeze out a couple of inches.

    Temps have plummeted here. Even a few flurries in the air.

    I use Morristown here more than I do GSP. It’s terrible for my area in Northern Macon county.
