Might very well have been, it was a long time ago but in that timeframe.

I was in a school once that had a tornado warning right at dismissal. It was awful- busses and a line of cars stuck outside, I think some of the parents & bus drivers were rushed into the office- another teacher and I had a bunch of kids of mixed ages in their spots in an interior room- duck and cover- then the power went out. Total black in that room for at least a half hour. Kids were FREAKED OUT.

Still snowing pretty hard in Herndon. FCPS just changed to closed tomorrow.

Now 34/33 and the snow is having its gold medal ceremony

Dranesville/Sterling area, 37/36, still mostly rain but the drops and the flakes are starting to duke it out like Olympic hockey

FCPS should delay, but they haven't. Will have kids standing at bus stops in 0 wind chill and there's plenty of black ice in my neighborhood. At any rate, here's a pic of what the totals looked like in SE PA today. Really white-knuckled it with the wind coming back over the Susquehanna on that flat, exposed I-95 bridge.

30/24 in Herndon at 11 PM

If this pans out, it might almost be enough to overcome the Dulles-Ashburn-Data-Center-Corridor snowhole.

Stuck in that infernal Dulles Greenway Snow Hole. Measuring a scant 3 inches IMBY near the LoCo/FxCo line. Been nothing but pixie dust for hours. Hope it picks up on the back end. 30/27

Started snowing a few minutes ago in Great Falls. 35/22

Drove up to Liberty last night to ski this one out and it's snowing heavily here. Hope the all-snow blitz starts downrange soon.

Why choose?

Finally getting another band of snow in Herndon- the first since this morning. First decent size flakes I've seen, too. Hope it keeps up.

Feeling a bit frustrated in Herndon. We barely scraped the low end of predicted totals and have so far gotten none of the recent bands that have touched LoCo.

Snow rate has picked up quite a bit IMBY. Still small flakes. 27/22
