This 7 day forecast blows chunks!!  I must somehow convince myself that these are just the early stages of our first named winter storm of the year.  We're laying the groundwork.  Calling those ducks to the pond.  And I pray it rains enough to kill all my grass.  Because I'm going on 3 weeks with no mow and I cant even cut it anymore.  Just got back from Chicago.  Weather sucked there too.  

What do we feel about bowling weather?  Time to join a league??  

When does Novemeber start?  I'm so done with summer already....and it ain't even here yet!

I was sitting in Walkertown this morning watching the black clouds roll through Winston and down HWY 158 during the tornado warning.  Most notably was the tidal wave of rain that hit my windshield all at once.  Not sure I can remember a scenario seeing a wall of water coming at me like that.  Winds were gusty, but the rain intensity was legit monsoon for about 10 mins.

Ended up with a glaze of ZR and a dusting of snow (unexpected) last night in Dallas.  So if you call that overperforming, then I wish my folks back home in NC all the best today and tomorrow.  Can't wait for someone to say "it's ripping fatties"!  

Anybody want the Dallas to Carolina connection?  Just arrived to heavy freezing drizzle and 26°.  An overnight mess in the making.

This is the equivilent of being catfished.  Our storm will have removed the fake lashes, hair extensions and Tik Tok filters by the time she gets across the apps.  She's UGLY man!!  

Seriously, no more "major" in the thread titles.  Some old hunter shot those ducks on the pond 2 minutes after the thread was posted.  

I think its funny that the entire forum was clammoring for a mere inch a few weeks ago and here we are after 2 events, ready to snow in Fab Feb (finally) and we have had an epic winter across the deep, deep south, up the sandy coasts and deep freezes multiple times......and yet.....seeing a solid 2-4" across a large chunk of NC seems to be disappointing for many?  I'm not even sure a big dog would satisfy most of you at this point.  

So what say you?

1 Big Dog of 6", or,

4 small 1-3" events?

Brick in here posting models faster than a Latino roofer lays shingles. (All due respect of course to Latino roofers cuz they are amazing)

18Z - woof.  What are we in for here folks?  The trends are compelling to say the least.  Winter un-cancel!!

I have a strong sense the 0z FAFO model will skew heavily towards the FA this far out and next week it will flip to the FO midweek.  Somehow we all love the FA but really struggle with the FO.  Its the board we live in.  

Central VA special on this one.  What a moisture feed back to Arkansas!

Weather down here in Tampa and Fort Myers this week is simply stunning.  You cannot beat winter weather on the gulf coast.  Nice reprieve from the wet and soggy.

Can @BIG FROSTYhop on here and offer some recommendations for pre-emergents?  I really am looking forward to early mowing this year.  (And Top Golf in GSO)

Raining in LA finally and I'm wearing t-shirts again in Carolina, so I'd say thats a layman's confirmation of a pattern flip.

Clearly this is "historic" for the gulf coast and points inland, but how historic will this be along the atlantic seaboard in GA, SC and NC?  Anybody have the data on that handy?

Happy for the board!  For the Triad, maybe a few flakes but honestly I'm not feeling this one at all.  Radar trajectory still favors the Triangle and east and the NAM isnt Namming for us here.  I honestly dont need a nuisance snow anyway.  All or nothing please.

Its the finger!!  Lore says that might be a precursor to the death band.  Make sure you and Gawx have your Walmart battery packs on standby to charge those phones.  We all know much sleet sticks to those power lines!

Sure does feel like after this week we are going deep into Fab Feb before we'll this pattern back again.  Once the pattern relaxes it may not come back as we've seen before.  The inverse of our cold is the complete lack of winter in places like the mountains of CA.  I'll be headed out to Yosemite in April.  They have zero snow now.  Locals are telling me to expect a late winter there.  Probably about the time the SER returns here in March and April.  

Can't blame this one on Brick.  Not even he can mess up bad enough to make it snow on Bourbon St.  That takes a special kind of jinx.

Louisiana is about to get shut down for a couple of days.  Maybe some Cajun Snow Cream in their future!  Really impressive potential for the gulf coast.  Hoping they get their fill!
