    ...yeah..i have my doubts re: sunday..to be honest more intrigued with the pattern going forward..alot of signs pointing to a great 2nd half of january..but in the mean time we track sunday..would be nice to see it snowing here and in foxboro,ma as the LA/SD chargers beat the patriots.

    ...ideal radiational cooling conditions for thurs. nite/friday morning..according to NWS latest forecast discussion..they have a low of 5* for KFOK friday morning..i'm thinking i should achieve a single digit low also..

    ...hard freeze here this morning.. 24.3* here in eastport 21* @ Gabreski KFOK below freezing since 5pm on sunday..its amazing once wind goes calm..temps drop. love that radiational cooling!

    ..yesterday was a great beach day...went to Hot Dog beach in east quoque..great sandbar there and the surfers were everywhere..with the off shore break it was easy to get in and out of the water..water was warm and clean.. looking forward to today..should be a great one as we wrap up summer 2018.

    ...yeah..its amazing how quickly the beach season comes to an end..this is one beach bum putting an end to this season and look forward to the 'low sun angle period' coming up.

    ...black fly warning for all south shore beaches. last time we had a N wind the beaches were unbearable(last thurs)..think today will be the same..those sonsofbitches bite and too quick to swat..glad i'm in a/c today..

    ...yeah..same deal yesterday @ west hampton dunes..low clouds dominated the day..people were complaining that the sun wasn't out in full force..you couldn't see those advertising planes because of the low deck of clouds..
