    ...I got down to 32.2 * ..KFOK unbelievably got down to 22*. ..i did have some lettuce and spinach planted..glad i covered them last nite.

    ...17* here..barometer v. strong @ 30.70"..pretty close to KFOK's 30.60"..their dew point is @ 4*.. expecting the usual out here..little snow then the c/o..agrees with the NWS NOT putting the east end in a WWA.

    ...yeah..i'm thinking 1-2" here also..all about wind direction for us.. but 2 things.. where does the deformation band set up? and the upper level low seems to be diving further south and east..colder?..just a observation..

    ...quite a difference..i'm @ 36*..usually the east end would be a lot cooler..but skies out here are overcast..which explains why..

    ...out here on ELI.. KFOK @ 27*.. Eastport 28.7*.. this year we seemed to go straight to a hard freeze without any frosty mornings.

    ...alot of the mostly sunny forecasts will bust today..satellite looks locked and loaded for clouds most of the day...

    ..plan on going to beach saturday not to hang but look @ waves, tidal washups,any sort of erosion..winds will still be gusty out of the NW..high tide on saturday is around 2:30 -3:00 pm.. hoping sunday turns out to be a good one..as the days are numbered now!

    ..KFOK @ 55*..i'm @ 58*. looking forward to some nice beach days this w/e..can't believe labor day w/e is in 3 weeks..

    ..i'll confirm that..even right down to the beach..got down to the beach around 1030am with a gusty west wind..that 'dry front' passed, winds went NW and it felt like a furnace..then about 2 hours later wind kicked around to the SW and you immediately felt the cooling effects of a wind off the water. that lasted maybe an hour..then back to a NW wind and the furnace was back on..strange day at the beach with numerous wind shifts.

    ...yeah,noticed it yesterday(wed)..water is no longer 'numbing'..quite refreshing..maybe mid to upper 60's. beautiful beach day..noticed a lot of clouds west of me..so decided to head east to ponquoque beach in hampton bays. turned out clearing pushed west and turned out mostly sunny..what surprised me is the wind was pretty light out of the south all day..pretty rare to have a day with no real sea breeze kicking in.

    ...JB predicting a cold/stormy winter for east coast. could be "spectacularly" cold..rivaling 13-14 winter. pretty bold statements even for him!

    ..agree WABC7 has the 2 best OMC's..Jeff Smith/Lee Goldberg..and 1 of the worst in A. F. speaking of Lee..he spoke of an "abrupt pattern change to much warmer weather after April 12-13".

    ..with a big grain of salt i decided to look @ accuweathers long range forecasts..they don't see any colder temps at all.. all daytime highs in the 40's..right thru christmas..what does this mean?? absolutely nothing!!..
