  1. The flooding in parts of Miami is kind of stunning considering how far away the Eye is.
  2. Can someone answer this?. When was (if ever) the last time two back to back Major Hurricanes made Landfall in the United States as Catagory 3 or greater storm?
  3. I tried to post this in the other before it was locked. Landfall isn't going to happen until Early Sunday Morning so this storm could shift back and forth between East and West several more times by then as well as weaken a little and intensify a little after that back and forth until Landfall. We won't really know a definite answer to where this will make Landfall until tomorrow Morning/Afternoon. No one in South Florida (including Miami) is out of the woods yet. Remeber it wasn't until Friday afternoon that we knew where Harvey would make Landfall later that night. Things change on an hourly basis. We have rest of today and all of tomorrow. Also, this storm is the size of Florida which is way smaller in size compared to Texas so even if it hit Southwest coast Miami would still be affected in some ways. The major issue for Houston Metro was flooding but for Miami, the issue is going to be the wind more than anything. There reason why NHC, TWC, etc,. . have to declare a specific location (or city) being the precise place where tHe Hurricane will make Landfall. I know some some like to be optimistic and that fine but also need to be a little realistic as well.
  4. Flordia Governor Rick Scott as declared a state of emergency. http://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/Hurricane-Irma-Watches-Caribbean-South-Florida-442673363.html
  5. To me based from NHC and Accuweather this is looking like a Florida Lamdfall Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Very interesting. My least favorite possible path (actually I hope it turns back out to sea and becomes a 'Fish Storm' after Harvey but I losing hope and I know none of these are not definite and just possibilities) is it going to Mississippi and Louisana especially if it stays Major Catagory Hurricane. we don't want an another Katrina on our hands. ?Hopefully stays away from there
  7. Saw this on Youtube. Vido of Rockport Teas as Hurricane Harvey made Landfall.
  8. What site has all the European Hurricane Models?
  9. This is what I watching https://www.click2houston.com/live/watch-live-kprc-2-news
  10. Watching KPRC and new Flooding is starting to begin in the area by Addicks and Barker.
  11. Exactly Hurricanes and Tropical Storms of all types and sizes have been happening for hundreds of years. Really we have been fortunate until this year that we haven't had a Maor Hurricane to make Landfall in the U.S since 2005. And also since 2006, few Hurricanes had made Landfall in Florida and Gulf of Mexico. There had been some but not a lot since really Ike in 2008. This has been an above average warm year that a fact. I wonder how old this person is. I old enough to remember what Katrina did to New Orleans and Gulf Coast.
  12. I have been to Cody, Wyoming. It a fun little Town1
  13. What interesting is how recent all of these storms are. There is no pre-1990 storm in the top 10. Harvey will indeed break Top 10 when all is done, said and calculated
  14. Sorry, I just deleted my last post but yes you probably right. The Storm off U.S Coast has not gotten a name. Likely the ones off the coast of Africa will be Irma.
  15. So true I remember on Friday Afternoon when it became Category 2 Hurricane some people on here said it had reach peak intensity and that it would not strengthen anymore then boom just like that it was a moderate to strong Category 4 making landfall in Texas! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
