  1. Interesting. Because this afternoon it seemed to be way ahead of schedule. Now we're a bit behind. Fickle beasts, these coastals.
  2. HRRR wants another 1" QPF near the city...This thing is just getting going folks
  3. It does seem to finally be making a push N...hoping I didn't just jinx it.
  4. It does seem to be intensifying despite DBZs still looking paltry on radar. Sticking on all surfaces now here.
  5. Not sure about where you are but we really haven't seen big rates up here in the city area yet, so there really hasn't been much 'waste' here. I'm not going to give up on 6+ until midnight, when heavy rates should be in full throttle.
  6. Almost moderate snow, sidewalks and some streets getting covered.
  7. Funny enough I was in DC for that one -- which was probably the only time I ever saw DC jackpot too!
  8. Evidence? Haven't seen NYC jackpot one storm since I've been here (2013).
  9. Finally car stickage. Rates increasing, but still having trouble.
  10. Didn't say there weren't heavy snowstorms. I'm saying NYC has crappy lift compared to surrounding areas, so comparatively it seems a little more difficult to jackpot here.
  11. Take it from me -- it's been white rain since the get here.
  12. Heavier rates having a tough time making it into the city. I've noticed this since moving to NYC. Not very good lift and we don't get the moisture surge off the ocean like BK or LI. Growing up half an hour west of Baltimore, I'm so used to jackpotting haha. #Spoiled.
  13. Yeah people already lining up to jump off the bridge. Happens every storm.
  14. None of this has been heavy. It's not going to stick until rates increase. We're fine.
  15. Knocking on the doorstep. Might take a bit to saturate the area but heavier rates shouldn't be too long off.
  16. Include location. Light snow, no stickage yet but intense returns knocking on the door.
  17. Just walked home from the gym. Temp has dropped rapidly to meet dew points. I doubt we even start as rain, think we start accumulating as soon as the sun goes down. HRRR looks absolutely fantastic, .75 line way back inland, wouldn't be surprised to see some 10-12" lolls where bands set up. I like my 5-9" call for Harlem.
  18. 3k NAM even juicier it seems, though a bit warmer.
