  1. I just went out and measure the depth in the same area as I did last night.  Looks like we lost about 4 inches from 21 to 17".  Driveway is in great shape.  I had gotten enough off of that on Tuesday night that it is mostly down to pavement now!

yeah but it's gonna lead to crappy skiing....bare spots, mud spots, exposed roots and rocks.  Swamps opening up on the sled trails....slush pits for ice fishing. You know what I mean?

It won't even lead to bare spots on my driveway.

Stunning night out. No clouds and the extra bright full moon reflecting off the fresh snow is beautiful. Moonlight in Vermont indeed.

Until the eclipse in an hour and a half.

  4. I replaced the shear pins on the snowblower and was pleased to let it do much of the work today.  First time on the season and hardly used it last year as I did not know why it was so little help.

I never know how my reports will appear with the NWS.  I put in the other that I am 4 miles NW of Norwich and 1 mile SE of W Norwich and let them decide.  It is not consistent but I try to give them the info inc elevation because my position up here is certainly different than it is down in the center of town.

As for a total, I was guessing 15”-16” and lo and behold, I apparently have a neighbor who is a BTV NWS employee and they reported 15”

  6. Best measurement for depth was about 24 inches but I was not sure if I was hitting bottom or just an impenetrable layer.  58+ inches on the year has me about 8 inches ahead of last year.  Constant snow cover since 11/13.

  7. 13.6 and counting here, totals were kept down by a few hours of sleet midday.  Best snow all day was around 5 or 5 30 as the wind picked up.

    temp down to 3f

Tried to get a base measurement, best I could come up with was 23/24 inches but I am not sure if I was hitting bottom or was hitting an inpenetrable ice layer.

    Constant pack since 11/13
