41 and rain here but it almost felt like very mangled flakes for a second there.

I parked at the bottom of the driveway just in case.

Better than science, I have pictures.  As you can see in two of the pictures, in October the leaves have color but not in the warmer sun tanning months.

It is not covered in AT's post, but I also like the odds of our leaves changing color here in NNE in late September into mid-October.

At home this morning it was beautiful above the valley fog.  Foggy the whole way to St. J.  It has burned off pretty quickly however.

As of yesterday morning, I can declare my snow cover to be gone after 5 months and 4 days.  There are some patches left but they are now the exception.  Nov 13 to April 17 is not a bad run at all.

White ground this morning too.  I will point out the NEK did have floods yesterday too.  A few washed out roads, etc but nothing too bad unless it was your road.

My damage was limited to some small loss of soil from a raised bed.  Sorry no pics.  Fortunately my culvert clearing over the weekend seemed to help direct the water in the right direction.

36 and spitting snowflakes here.

Too early.   In NNE, we have the following seasons:

Winter:  Dec 1 to April 1,

Mud:     April 1 to May 15

Spring:  May 15 to July 12

Summer: July 12

Where did summer go:  July 13 to Sept 1

Leaves:   Sept 1 to Nov 1

Careful in the Woods:  Nov 1 to Dec 1

I spent 2.5 hours shoveling the drive tonight.  Good times.

1.5 inches today.  April total is now higher than December's.

Last week Eye on the Sky reported the museum in St. Johnsbury was at 142 days and needed to get to Saturday to break the record of 146 set in the early 70s.  I do not know if they made it.

All snow here, fresh coating.
