Only about 2.6 inches as of 8:30. Darn dry slot (not Dryslot). Nice glacial base however.

Looking at that map by BTV, I find it odd that Essex county has a WSW but Windsor County only has a WWA.

We had 2.5 inches at the house when I left at 6:.45. It was a looong trip to St. J and there were a number of cars and a couple of vans off the road, esp north of Bradford.

lol...F the rain
Maybe the rain hates you! How can we appreciate the sun if we don't have the rain?! It irrigates crops!

Here is a nice live webcam to watch the snow in Waitsfield VT

On the drive to work this morning there was a bizarre 2 mile stretch heading north uphill from Bradford where it went from no snow to a solid covering including on the passing lane. It increased going up the slope until the top when it all just stopped and there was nothing all of a sudden.

It is like Spring Training for baseball. We have to get our hype skills ready for the season ahead. Plus it gives me 6+ so it must be right.

Our first snow as well. Just a coating but the driveway was fun with the leaves on there too.
Snow was down to the valley from Norwich on north with the most between Thetford and Wells River

Stay safe on the roads
My wife was stuck in a parking spot for a bit yesterday because someone with Florida plates stopped their car behind hers and got out to take a picture of a tree from the middle of the road (in the middle of town).
It was still better than when people would come up on our lawn to within a foot or two of the house and take pictures of our scarecrows and maples.
Then there was the guy who went into our backyard trying to get a cell signal.
Good times.

I am supposed to be going to Block Island for a wedding from Thursday to Sunday next week. That could be interesting.

These damn suicidal squirrels are ticking me off! WTF! Bad enough dodging them on the drive home but this morning the coffee was flying around the car everytime I slammed on the brakes to spare one of these indecisive self loathing critters. I have no idea what is up with them this year. It hasn't been so dry up here that they would not be able to find food in a different pattern this year. The crows are having a feast however.

We are less than 500 posts away from the millionth post in this subforum.
And to think only 50K have been on how to define Southern NE, Central NE, and Northern NE. Between the posts about Tolland's wonky electric system, wooly caterpillar, and PF's sweaters and Picnic Tables and I kind of shocked we didn't get here sooner!
How quickly would we get to 2,000,000 if this were to occur?

Okay, this is very weird. I started noticing this too. Actually in the spring. So many squirrels and chipmunks. Every morning I make my 6 mile trek to Duncan Donuts in Bristol NH and back. I started a dear squirrel count in my head. Up to about 50 squirrels. I don't count chipmunks, racoons and other animals. The numbers are really increasing in the recent weeks but I think its because acorns are easy to see on the roads. It's a massacre out there.
So 50 dead squirrels in 6 miles. Coincidentally that is the same as the number of Dunkin Donuts in that same stretch.

So were they still drunk from last night or was it beer and cereal for breakfast?

"Dohnnie, bro, dude get out of the fawkin' tornado and get in the fawkin house! There's a fawking tornado in the backyahd!"

It may be too late. He had a checkered past too with multiple melts.
With multiple melts, it would be qualified to post here.

We had 2 inches when I left the house around 6:45. Very little up here in St. J though it is snowing lightly at the moment.
