  1. Think they’re could be a 3-4 hour period of heavy to moderate snow, according to the NAM
  2. Looking like a 2-4, maybe 3-5 in SE VA. See if we get a late NW trend
  3. Latest HRRR has about an inch for RIC which seems more realistic unless this amps up some and we get some heavy rates
  4. 12z NAM was better for Saturday but still a no for RIC. Shows us getting 2-3” today. We’ll see
  5. Looks like today is going to bust for our friends to the north. See what happens here
  6. 18z gfs still says no for this weekend. Maybe a little more juiced up for tomorrow
  7. Winter weather advisory to our north, winter storm watch to our south east. Ugh
  8. South and east of RIC may get a WWA. NAM gives RIC maybe an inch.
  9. Maybe they’re right but it does seem like the GFS has been leading the way lately. It hasn’t been the most accurate here with snow totals but it’s had the right idea
  10. Ugh. What a brutal map. 8-12” SE VA. Nothing here
  11. Not terrible, especially if we can get 1-2” out of Thursday’s event
  12. It’s a very complex setup so maybe the models just don’t know how to handle both systems
  13. Wow! GFS was huge step backwards. We don’t get anything Saturday. Even SE VA gets only about an inch or two
  14. We’ve seen this before too. Doesn’t happen as often but it happens. Hampton Roads area gets crushed while we get fringed.
  15. NAM is painful to look at for us in Richmond. A foot or more in SE VA. Around an inch here in Richmond. Brutal!
  16. 12z NAM is painful to look at. Absolute crush job in SE VA. Don’t get much of anything here in Richmond
