  1. 11.6" event total in South Portland. Depth at 9"
  2. Ripping pretty good here in South Portland. Looks like the low stopped its westward movement so we should sit right under this band.
  3. ha, I was on the other side of the hill from you on Walker Pond - but moved to Standish for college in 2003.
  4. I looked at the Public Info statement - that observation was from 12/1. Dumb they published a map with that in there - shoulda tossed it. Side note - I grew up in Sturbridge, weird.
  5. 31* and SN- here in South Portland 6.3" measured at 1PM - that's new since 7AM 10.8" for the two-day total
  6. SN+, 26.8* in South Portland. 2.7" new as of 7AM; Two-day total of 4.5". Let's see if we can make some hay this AM

  9. and i'll know too because i'll be skunked 1.8" overnight
  10. Appreciate the analysis leading up to this event, @dryslot & @OceanStWx. If all goes well tomorrow night I should see a total higher than any one event last winter here in SoPo (7").
  11. they are everywhere up here - we get them just walking around the yard / grass / garden.
  12. A nice 32.4F rain here, which was expected.
  13. Never saw grubs, but sometime in Aug I saw bugs in the turf, so assumed chinch bastards. You need to rip a chunk off and look in the soil underneath to determine if it's grub damage. Can't rely on surface obs
  14. 07-08 was my fourth winter in ME, and my first in PWM. I wasn't measuring at that point but I remember it being an awesome winter. >100" in PWM I believe.
  15. Lava, my lawn is a cornucopia of weeds and bugs, and the back half is in full sun and still doesn't look that bad. I don't know what the issue or solution is, but I doubt pounding pesticides is the answer. Not sure if Milky Spore works on Cinch bugs but maybe give that a shot. Takes a few years to establish and you're soil is probably too cool this year, but it might be worth a shot next year. Either that or till it all and plant perennials or wildflowers. Probably cheaper than the money you'll undoubtedly continue to pour into it.
  16. Looks awesome Do you recall the brand or mix of see you put down?
  17. Unbelievable to me that people use the amount of chemicals needed to produce that lawn with a body of water that close to their property. Completely reckless.
  18. 6.0" event total, 60.0" STD South PWM
  19. My chuckle was more around Ray getting the label of General Public. Feels like he's deserving of more just based on his dedication, but there's no other appropriate bucket for him. Side note: do you know why the reporting from the PWM ASOS site is inconsistent in terms of when you all report it?
  20. And we're not done yet, still piling up. You're gonna have an epic Maine week...
  21. Yup. Deep winter out here, nice moderate snow pasting everything. 32.5F 14.6" @ 6AM.
  22. Congrats on an incredible week/first season. You're a NE weeenie for life now
