  1. Yinzers are at their worst during the month of February. The entire region has PMS. Vitamin D would cure this problem.
  2. Man, I find myself missing Kevin Benson a lot lately. Too bad he got caught driving his Taurus drunk and high on coke like he did. I wonder what he's up to these days. Sure do miss him on channel 11.
  3. JB stopped being a meteorologist the moment he used his reputation as one to get into energy futures. His forecasts help to drive those markets, and he is heavily invested in them. He's been warning of a March 1993 redux nearly every mid/late February since he founded WB.
  4. I believe this will happen verbatim. JB promises a delayed spring, and the "warmth" shown on the models is false. False spring!
  5. False spring according to JB. Also, there are rumbling of a SSW event occurring soon, so perhaps delayed spring as well. Fun times ahead for sure.
  6. I aim for this month to be the coldest February since 2015, just like January was the coldest since 2014.
  7. Heading to bed shortly. I fully expect to wake up to 6+ inches of fresh, white gold.
  8. Don't be salty everyone. The GFS promises 10+ inches out of this storm. I believe it will deliver!
  9. These models shouldn't be discounted. I still fully expect a significant back-end thumping of snow as the front finally passes tonight into tomorrow AM. 6"+ easily for Allegheny and Westmoreland counties.
  10. 6Z GFS & 12K NAM still showing upwards of a foot and about 7-8 inches for the eastern suburbs. Throw them out? I just don't understand how the consensus could be so bleak for a good, heavy snowstorm at this point.
  11. Aye bud, we don't take kindly to yinz guys uppair in New York postin' your fancy snow maps on our forum, innat.
  12. The month of February looks brutal and snowy for our area until at least week 3.
  13. I think we sill gotta wotta winner weft, innat. I went dahn Sarver Tru-Value n' bought aht the wast uh dare salt.
  14. All yinz guys who think winner's over come March don't know what yinz's tawkin' abaht, innat. It's still basic-wee winner as far as I'm concerned, bud. I don't even think abaht takin' my plah off my quad n' puttin' it inna shed 'till at weest April first. LMAO!
  15. It will probably still be snowing in July. Yinzers will soon start to resemble the creatures from that movie The Descent due to lack of sunshine....only fatter, of course.
  16. That's because it didn't. April 2014 was tropical compared to this. I'm 40, and I've never experienced anything remotely close to an April like this. Well, I did.....but that was in 1982 when I was 4 years old.
  17. This isn't a "weather forum for all enthusiasts". This is a snow lover's forum.
  18. I'm the "perpetrator" because I asked whether or not people get this exited every year when the GFS shows snow during the first part of April? That's some geeky mom's basement D&D logic right there. Incidentally now that I'm in the process of Doxing Daxx (that sorta rhymes, doesn't it?), it appears that's exactly what I was dealing with. I'll get back to my fun little project here and let you guys cry and commiserate about how much of a meanie I am and how much my screen name offends you, lol!
  19. It was a valid question. I was only asking it because a lot of you guys are acting like this has never happened before, while (at least in my experience) snow always seems to be modeled during the first part of April. On a personal level however, I now have another question....for you specifically. Do you talk like that in the "real world" to people's faces, or do you reserve your smugness for the internet where it's "safe" (it isn't, by the way)? I have a feeling I already know the answer to that one, but I just wanted to hear it from you.
  20. Models are always showing snow for PA during the first part of April. Do you guys get as giddy as this every year?
  21. Hopefully we don't get a prolonged deep freeze next month. Not only would it make for pretty much the coldest winter I've ever experienced, but our infrastructure would really take a beating as well. More flooding in the city, ice jams, etc.....No fun.
  22. Honestly I love tracking storms during the winter (even though I hate snow) and talking about the long range up until about the end of January. It's both exiting and addicting, and it's just so enjoyable to pour over all the data and to read all the different viewpoints on it. This time of the year though, I get so sick of the hype, wishcasting, and foul / snarky attitudes of people on the internet when things don't go their way that I could puke. It's the same thing every February and March: Winter's never gonna end, every Nor'easter that pops up on one model run is gonna be a February 2010 redux, and every piece of energy that picks up moisture out of the Gulf in March is gonna be 1993 again. Then of course they've got JB in their corner to hype cold and snow until a week after I open my pool.
