Go out and enjoy the warm temps this weekend. This ain’t happening. Not even close
-
The weenies have been run from the building. Some still shouting “there is hope” . Yes I’m still stinging from the 3rd straight snowless shutout.
-
F for me but if you compare to @NorthHillsWx then I basically dropped out without a grade. Never saw a single flake or ice pellet or frz rain

If this thing shows promise by Tuesday or Wednesday, we really need to be selective in who starts the thread.

Well, models were ALL trending towards significant icing, RAH and Blacksburg were sounding the alarm, multiple model suites were putting out ludicrous ice totals, and the major globals were all in agreement of a major CAD area ice storm.... INSIDE 48 hours. Literally how do you forecast weather this year when everything trends towards agreement essentially to game time, then drops it 12 hours before the event. Models all warmed starting at 12z yesterday but warning were already out. I mean how do you work with that? Hot 850’s, anomalously hot, did this in, imo, as did a precip hole over the main cad region
Don’t beat yourself up. If I would have been in that area I would have thought major ice storm . If you guys north of here can’t score then I’ve got no hope.

Brad P just posted on Facebook that he busted the forecast. Basically said he was just wrong

I want to see how much it goes up when it clouds over before declaring victory
I’m not in the game here in Rockingham but those clouds moved in early here and we have been stuck at 45. Good that you got to 32 so fast .

Got a flash flood watch issued for Rockingham NC. Good luck to you guys to the north
-
Pretty wild. I’m 60 miles south of Greensboro and 9 degrees warmer . Shows you where the cold air is

Brad P. now saying 0.20-0.30 for Valdese Hickory Marion etc. But he did say to me on twitter he feels like he may have to adjust totals south again towards 0.30-0.40 which is just north of us on his forecast map. Saying those areas(I just said) should be prepared for a few days without power.
He is ringing the alarm bells for those areas for sure. It’s sort of scary with all that cold air just to the west.

The freezing rain in Louisiana makes our wedge look like child’s play. They’re getting over an inch of liquid with temps in the low to mid 20s
It’s maddening. I can’t even buy a glaze over here in Rockingham.

We have the honor for the worst luck in any forum ever. Like previous posters said in the past that look would be money for almost entire board. I’m surprised I’m not injured from all my cliff diving. March will save us all

It’s really wild . Don’t worry , someone will spot a storm on the ICON or JMA that will save us.

I’m about ready to throw in the towel. Looks like no chances through at least feb 25th.
It funny how major modeled snowstorms disappear but rarely come back Anymore. It’s Hail Mary time

Oh what I wouldn't do for a southern slider in that setup...
HP too weak and it retreats . Marginal cold all winter is tough to watch . Lots of cold 100 miles north and west of nc but will not budge

I’ll take southeast weather for 500 . This weather pattern kills the weenies weather hopes in the Southeast. What is the southeast ridge ?

Pattern recognition
Let’s start a thread for next week. I’m back in. Storm will make its cold air, sun Angel not a factor, all the index’s favor us .............

It is maddening to say the least. I pissed off a lot of people but it seems like I was mostly right for my area with the exception of one minor event. We barely pulled that off as it was. The Mid-Atlantic won the year as did persistence. Welcome to the cliff.
Cliff diving ain’t so bad. At least you saw something. Nada a flake here. I’ve cliff dived about 3 times this year but I get back up. Probably done this time. This took the cake. If I hear pattern recognition one more time I might get sick. Carry on men and women.

Thunder here and 58 in Rockingham. Surprised with cooler temperatures up Raleigh way.
