The Para is a full on winter storm with a better setup with the damming high. It doesn’t have the closed low there just north of the Great Lakes like the GFS reg which doesn’t allow the sfc high to build south quick enough

Is it the strength and position of the high that makes a huge difference on Gfs vs GfsV16?  

Gfsv 16 is a real beauty folks. Almost Entire state of NC hit and S va. Even parts of SC. Make it happen 

00z Gfs just too warm for most but does throw some snow back into Northern NC. The Virginia boys should be happy
