Pretty sure this storm is gonna be in Boston by Monday.
Yep. I will always be a weenie. I let last nights 00 Gfs suck me back in. It will not happen again. Going to shock the pool tomorrow. Winter is OVER

Timing is killing these runs. Hope to see a slower solution on the 18z.
Holding hope in North Meck.
You talking 12 or 18z . 18z not good NC

The Euro is weak and a whole lot of nothing.
Well that was ugly

Wishing you guys a look of luck. The 00 Gfs got this weenie excited but when you look at a combo of all the models right now I’m just too far south. N NC and S va look good but minor swings will be big either way. Go south young man

If the 00z verified, @Grayman wouldn’t have to drive anywhere.
Omg. Elizabeth I’m having the big one. Every time I try to get out they suck me back in. Somebody tell this weenie that’s not happening

I'm right at Concord/Harrisburg near 49. It's brutal on this area. Warm nose pretty much ruins significant snows. Sleet storms can be ok I suppose.
I can imagine the 74 corridor is even worse huh?
Best of luck!!
Man Rockingham is the worst ever. I usually travel 25 miles north to see a flake. I’m Mr Weenie

S.Mecklenburg county= .5"
N.Meck= 5.5"
Literally 20 miles.
That's our reality +
I’m with you. I live 60 miles east of you and it would take some work for us. If you live on the hwy 74 corridor we’ve watched this play out many times. I can’t seem to look away though .

It’s really close to identical honestly, just shifted north a bit causing differences on the southern fringes and down along the southern blue ridge escarpment. Selfishly would love to see it move just a bit more towards this look, definitely looking like there’s potential for someone to get a big one out of this though.
This brings up painful memories. Another great shutout event for me. Dang I had forgotten about that nightmare lol

I’m gonna need this not to be ice for mby
Is your location correct? Fountain Inn? We are pretty far south but maybe we get lucky

If we could knock it south some you wouldnt have to worry about ice
Can you imagine if this happened. 5 inches 15 miles north of me while I’m driving looking for a dusting. Could I start my very own whining thread just to talk to myself. Lol. Glad we have something to watch. Get the Tylenol out

You arent that far from it to be honest but you know this isnt set and will flip and flop a handful of times
Yeah . But I’m not sure how much further south. It’s really tough to get snow in my neck of the woods. Good run for most of you .

18z GFS putting the hammer down!
That is boom time. I’m still left out but central NC up to VA is a monster.
-
You SVA and N NC boys are going to like the 18z Gfs.
-
Good luck to the N NC and S VA folks as you get to continue to track . Anybody south of at least hwy 64 can fold their cards to me.

The 12z GFS says, “Not so fast, my southeast friends. But you folks in Payson, Arizona? Well, here’s three feet of snow for you.”
CMC also tells us to go home and enjoy our 40 degree rain

Most models give me nothing next week yet places like Elizabeth city and Norfolk may get buried. Can we end this pathetic winter please?
They are backing off for everyone. Game , set , match . Bring on spring . See you guys next year. Yes I’m dumb enough to come back . Oh wait Feb will save us. We suck at winter weather and I’m the biggest sucker on all. Rant over .

0z CMC is a solid hit for southern VA, and points north.
I think you southern Va boys are in a good spot. Just need the high to trend stronger and further soutH and the rest of us can play.

CMC is more like the reg GFS. Both of these are a little quicker bringing in the storm (1/2 day quicker)
The Para is a full on winter storm with a better setup with the damming high. It doesn’t have the closed low there just north of the Great Lakes like the GFS reg which doesn’t allow the sfc high to build south quick enough
Thanks. Is it all timing ? What else needs to go right to get better?
-
Is it the strength and position of the high that makes a huge difference on Gfs vs GfsV16?
-
Gfsv 16 is a real beauty folks. Almost Entire state of NC hit and S va. Even parts of SC. Make it happen
-
00z Gfs just too warm for most but does throw some snow back into Northern NC. The Virginia boys should be happy

Super. Start a thread . The rest of us are too depressed. You look to be in a good spot right now
