  1. I am also a huge Yellowstone NP fan. I plan to go out to Lake Tahoe & Yosemite. My brother loves Oregon on the coast. White Knuckle driving. There was that in parts of Yellowstone. Not a fan of heights but I manage.
  2. I’ll just leave this Merry Christmas wish here. https://x.com/_jwall/status/2004299830592679942?s=46
  3. No the clock is not ticking. You still have February. Remember the heart of winter is middle of January to the middle of February. As I’ve said many times before. Out of the top 10 snows for TN. The majority have happened in February.
  4. I’m sneaking looks hoping I see the HOT sign on!!!
  5. Webb is definitely good at what he does. Only issue is he cliff jumps easily. In his defense many also do on that board. Negativity breeds more negativity. We all just need to remember how hard it really is to get snow in these parts. We have to have the temps first. Which finally we do have those temps really close to tap into. I’ve learned so much from many on this board. Carver has taught me to be patient & not live off every run of the models. John is a wealth of historical data. Jag is the MJO king. Gawx is the statics guru. Holston & Jeff are also great members of this forum. Come spring Jag & Jeff are severe wx gurus. The list goes on and on.
  6. And as I have been saying. Top snows for TN is in February. With the cold air source in Canada. If we were to get one of the ole blue northern clippers. The ratios of that snow with them would be plentiful.
  7. Even with NW flow I’m sure there is clippers that will come down in that flow.
  8. I guess we don’t need the wooly warm connection this winter! Lol. I did hear thunder a few days ago so there is that connection! Yep a bucket list is checked off. I met the GOAT!
  9. Being an Alabama fan. Good gracious. My wife & kids told me not to come home!!! lol. They are kicking me out for not bringing them to meet him.
  10. Not weather related but I gotta say. My job had me in the right spot to get to meet the GOAT (Saban) & shake hands with him. Merry Christmas to ME!!!!
  11. I will say you GaWx & Carver have been all over this. Thank you for sharing!
  12. Temperatures for next Monday and Tuesday have definitely went downward the past few days. A high of 29 here next Monday. A few days ago it was upper 40s.
  13. NWS is sure on the ball issuing dense fog advisories. Already one for Christmas Eve.
  14. Good stuff GaWx. Always backing your positivity with facts! Love it!
  15. Congratulations! Enjoy because they grow fast. My two kiddos are now 22 (boy)19 (girl).
  16. This forum is the best of any of them. Everyone gives sound reasoning & terrific discussion as to why. Everyone is welcoming & helps others learn. There is no negativity & winter cancel thankfully. Yeah the pattern has not been the best for snow in TN but when has there ever been a snowy December in TN? Yet many places have had a lot of snow already. As Carver said it’s been a well below average December. Many days have been like a January day. December has been a win in my book. It’s felt like Christmas! I do hope everyone is having a great Christmas season & wish everyone a Merry Christmas!
  17. I’m just not sure why so many are doom & gloom when it’s only December 21st. Many act like December is supposed to be a snowy month. Webb along with others I believe overthink forecasting. It will be interesting how it changes with AI taking over a lot of the forecasting.
  18. Webb is knowledgeable but changes his mind all the time. He’s more negative than he is positive. Seems many on other forums cancel winter before it’s even begun.
  19. That’s only 3 weeks into winter. Too many people are way to negative & expectations of winter are over the top.
  20. That to me says we are in a sweet spot. Gulf lows come on down!
  21. Uh oh. Gonna upset those winter canceled peeps.lol!
  22. I will say that storm front yesterday was very impressive with the thunder and the driving rains. That wind was brutal.
