  1. EURO has two potential "A" storms coming up. Seems like the storms in the last two or three years seem to want to hug the coast in the mid Atlantic. Is it because the ocean is warmer than it was previously in the winter?
  2. Sleet picking up in Gainesville 26. I kinda like sleet.
  3. Rain picking up in Gainesville with sleet pellets and an occasional mangled snowflake
  4. True true. I think we will eventually get a warning level event, maybe more than one.
  5. Feb. looks to be active and cold. I'm actually looking forward to having something to track every week. More tracking events = better outcomes!?!
  6. Next Sunday the EURO has a storm coming from the sw but misses us and rides off the coast in NC. Looks like small adjustments would give us a legit shot plus it's not a Miller B.
  7. I was surprised that the 6z GFS tries to transfer down in SC. Then reorganizes off NC coast. Can that be right or was the model confused?
  8. Light snow and 27 in Gainesville. One and a half inches so far.
  9. Very. I think the EURO improved by a smidge comparing the last two runs (today's 0z with yesterday's 12z). JUST one more smidge will solidify a double digit snowfall for mby. Maybe.
  10. Does that help to keep the storm closer to the coast?
  11. I agree. I don't think the model is finished adjusting to what we all want.
  12. We're in the bullseye brother. Now what do we do?
  13. It looks like the ridging is marginally better compared to 12z.
  14. Why does anyone believe a snowy model run outside five days in the MA?
  15. Spitting wet snow ❄ in Gainesville, 40 degrees
  16. I'm hugging the EURO for late next week and hoping the blocking does its thing.
  17. I recall that in 1972 driving back to WDC from Mount St. Mary's in a raging snowstorm one night in probably February only to reach the beltway and see it change to rain in a New York minute.
  18. It's Snowmageddon 1 for me but the time between that and Snowmageddon 2 was the most exciting because there was the feeling that it would be impossible to have a 2nd major storm so close together.
