  1. Min pressure downstate here has been 28.98 or 981.2mb here. Interesting storm, the sun came out for a while this morning in the dry slot. About to swing the pendulum to snow now.
  2. Rain here as expected, only an inch of slop or so on the ground this morning. Pressure is down to 987mb on my home weather station- the lowest I've observed since building it a little over a year ago. Hoping for more with the Friday storm and jealous of all you guys getting snow.
  3. Make it so. (Feeling that we get dry-slotted here in Central IL while Peoria and NW cash in based on typical low tracks)
  4. 25 hours without power. Finally back on, kudos to the linemen. Got an inch and a half of rain down here in Decatur though. Power outages everywhere, would estimate the winds at 70 mph when it came through town yesterday. I love thunderstorms but I'll pass on the derecho fun.
  5. Has 'that' feel down here in Decatur, especially since the sun came out a bit ago. Dewpoint is 55 already here, and it's warm. Feels 'juiced' as one of the TV Mets used to say.
  6. Sleeting hard here in DEC. Winds still screaming, power has blinked a few times. Hard surfaces covered in sleet south of town here. Nasty. No lightning yet though.
  7. I can confirm here in DEC it is crazy windy. Winds are screaming out of the NE. 38 and raining hard; my home weather station logged the lowest pressure of 2023 at 29.11" Hg (985mb).
  8. Just short of 7" of rain and the best thunderstorms of the season over the last couple of days. Drought cancel here. ILX NWS office had some entertaining wording in their discussion this morning. Something about the "Champaign county desert region" finally getting some rain.
  9. The air has that feel today- 89/80/106 at KDEC. Juiced to the max, garage concrete is sweating. Yet to be seen what that translates into.
