That would be a terrible bet regardless of the month. I'd feel good about a sig snowfall though. Make it 4" and I'm in.
No only 6". If it's such an amazing pattern it's a slam dunk. Easy money

Super excited for tonight’s cold. The reason being all the vegetation. I don’t think there has ever been such extreme cold with over 50% vegetation in the city and on the island. I fully expect sensitive trees to dump all there leaves tomorrow night.
And the bugs. Lots of dead bugs.

Glad we don't live there – LI or SNE.
I'll take that bet. $20 your location doesnt see a 6"of greater snowfall before Dec 1?

People freaking out over models showing blocking in mid-November is insane. New England may even see rain from these threats. We have had great patterns in June, but it doesnt mean it will snow.
I dont take any threat seriously until after December 1. Yes, i know we have gotten snow in October and November a few times in the past thirty years, but those are the exception and not the rule. If the models look the same in 2 weeks i will get more intrigued, as of now its fantasy.

Do you at least have the greenest lawn on the block?
Hopefully it works out for you.

I didn't last year and blew out my back flow device.
You have time , 1 or 2 nights will not kill you , but a 300 shut off cost me 900 to repair.
If it gets below 25 like some models are showing I get nervous. Luckily its been warm lately so the ground will keep things above freezing, other than any exposed pipes and maybe the heads themselves

Need to blow out my sprinklers asap, all the companies are booked and i dont have a compressor. This is bad news.

I guess you don't miss the traffic than you can encounter near that part of the county.
I worked local so it wasn't terrible and lived right near the train station. But I do like Suffolk better, more to do in the summer, more open space and parks, more bang for your buck

It’s pretty funny but you just know what “analogs” are going to be used in the fall based on whether we have an El Niño or a La Niña. El Niño: 57-58, 02-03, 09-10 La Niña: 95-96, 10-11, 13-14. Without fail, those analogs come out, everytime
93-94, 77-78

Getting conflicting info. I was watching the obs and saw when jfk gusted to 50 mph.
Maybe it was an incorrect reading? Flagged? Who knows. But according to the official storm reports, no NYC ASOS sites hit 50.

It worked for me in 4th grade when i forgot my homework. Rooted for the teacher to forget to collect it. Bent down to pray to the spaghetti monster and i knocked her coffee over. She was too distracted to get everyones homework.
Hey that was actually funny.

How about l’artusi?
There are over 20,000 restaurants in Manhattan. Just go outside, walk down the street, check out the menus in the windows, and enjoy.
