We may get a big snow yet.. McDowell whipped Hickory to break a long conference losing streak
Saw that. Watched some of it online. Looked like McDowell just went back to the old school power I and just pushed it down the field.

It feels "tropical" this morning. Woke up to 58F and the wind howling. At least the rain has moved out for a while. Hopefully the skiers can get in a decent day before the storms move in this evening.
Wow, 34 and fog here currently.

When sea ice is melting, warm rain will be pelting.

That would be cool but I'm sure if it snowed that much they would postpone or cancel games. Are they even allowing fans at the games? Sorry off topic.
As it currently stands 100 spectators allowed regardless of venue size. There’s a bill in the NC senate right now to allow 40% of capacity at games. In addition, the Gov is supposed to announce some loosening of restrictions this week, supposedly.

Really rooting for it to snow Friday to see some high school football on a snow covered field (NC high school football season kicks off Friday night).

Hated to see the EURO lose the storm but still plenty of time to go
Just suppressed. Not bad at this range.

The 12z euro says, “Snow storm? What snow storm?”
Suppressed. Exactly what we want right now.

You're in deep up there I'm afraid. I'm slowly dropping but very light prexip so far. 34.3/27.6
Hoping when heavier returns come through it’ll be sleet, fingers crossed. Dropping to 16 this morning I think is helping it stick instantly. Deck has that shiny look to it.

Already a solid glaze on everything here

It is way off on dew points though just like it was with the snow event 2 weeks ago. For me it showed a 3 pm dew point of 32, actual is 23.
Yeah it’s hard to finish right if you can’t even start right.

RDPS trending slightly warmer as well
I think you’re seeing a consolidation on models to a 30-32 (average) degree storm with 0.25-0.50 accrual.

12Z 12k NAM had the LP over Monroe this run, it was over SW VA last run. I kind of see this playing out very similar to last system. Just not as much qpf.
