    Also can someone tell me what “broadcast media” means? Is that a TV or radio station? I ask because I’m in halls and I probably picked up 3/4” of snow but I saw this report and it’s hard to believe. I will say there’s some pretty good sized ridges in Halls closer to the Union Co line. Cobbly Knob in Halls is about 1700’ft .

    It’s interesting that the reports coming in from the lower elevations of NE Tennessee are on the light side. Seems like the Central Valley did really well. .

    Snowing pretty good in North and East Knox Co. Big ole flakes .

    Parts of Knox Co on the east side did well. Straw Plains to Seymour got 2-3” .

    It’s crazy how fast those fine flakes can add up when it’s ripping it. .

    I sent the NWS a tweet at 2:30 this afternoon that the changeover was happening in Knoxville. NWS sent out their forecast at 3:45 and they had rain for me until 9pm before it changed over and I am 30 min north of Knoxville. .

    I think you are going to be rocking it for a while. The precip is banking up against the mountains and backing up into the valley. Seen this happen many of times with good low level moisture and the perfect NW flow directions. You can see where I am and I’ve seen the snow back all the way up to me before. .

    I think we are now getting into the NW flow. Snow is falling pretty good at my house but the radar over me is meh. Snow also looks like that high ratio kind that’s small in size but pouring down. .

    I got a heavy dusting in Halls but 15 miles downstream from me in the flow got 1.5” in Strawberry Plains area. Measurement was taken by a NWS met so it’s legit. .

    NW flow is backed all the way to Indy. It may dry up but I don’t think it’s over just yet. .

    That bundle of joy headed SE out of Kentucky is holding together so far. .

    Something that’s interesting to me is the snow is falling much harder than what the radar is indicating IMO. .

    FYI... getting sleet and rain in Knoxville now. I’d say out in N Knox Co it’s mostly snow. .
