    Technically it was a bust for Tuesday during the day. Everything stayed west. Not complaining.

    No one was “calling bust 2 hours into an event”. Monday was filled with warnings and precautions for Tuesday during the day. Merely commenting on the overhype of a rain event that clearly was going to be west of NYC, let alone LI.

    The winds on LI(Melville)are awful. Persistent and gusty, even when not in the forecast. Every day the winds pick up like we live at the beach

    We can only hope. The promise of better weather this spring is reminiscent of the promise of a snow storm only 5 days away that never materializes.

    April temps will take a hit. Jayne’s Hill is an enjoyable hike. My dogs love it

    I was comparing our weather(I am in Melville)to New Jersey, not the immediate coast. You make good point about a normal spring here. I’ve grown accustomed to warmer springs. And last week was such a tease weather wise.

    This whole spring has been crappy on LI. We had a few days of nice weather. There is a big difference in the weather in Morristown NJ and the weather in central Long Island. The wind is something new. Windy every day it seems
