  1. GFS going too far east now... This keeps up It’s gonna be out to sea by tomorrow’s run...
  2. Hi Res Canadian shifted a little more east on the 12z run...
  3. Figures we are gonna end the season with another c tease storm. Just shoot it west and let’s get this over with.
  4. Just an incredible day today. Looks like we missed the record with those pesky clouds but can’t say I remember a stretch like this in early April. Felt more like June today. Kids were in the sprinkler all day. 9pm and It’s still 75 out. Enjoying a beverage on the patio. Cool breeze is picking up but for April this is amazing.
  5. Nice! Yes very efficient operation at UB. Tomorrow is 2 weeks since I got my 2nd shot there. So guess I’m at max protection now if that even means anything. First shot was just a sore arm for 24-36 hours. Second shot I actually had some pretty intense flu symptoms the following day. Fatigue, extreme nausea all day, and flip flopping fever and chills. Chugged 2 bottles of Gatorade and went to bed early and felt fine the following day. Wife got her shots a couple days after mine and had no symptoms. She did test positive back in early December while I did not so maybe that’s why she didn’t experience any side effects?
  6. Pretty impressive fog off the lakes this morning...
  7. No way they will be at full capacity... 50% crowd might even be a stretch... I’m thinking 25%... that’s like 18,000 in there... Antibody tests never really gained enough traction to be of any measuring use. No real idea how long the antibodies even work for. Would need one taken within the 72 hour window so it would be quicker just to get jabbed in the nose if you opt out of getting stabbed in the arm.
  8. Don’t know if I’ve ever seen a winter storm watch upgraded to a warning then just fully dropped with 12 hours. ohhh do we have another looker in the works?
  9. Tornado with injuries in Vermont earlier today? Crazy...
  10. Power is holding here in South Buffalo but hearing West Seneca and OP are having lots of power issues now. Kids school just lost power and they are closing at 1... Over performer today for sure...
  11. Never seen a rainbow form under a shelf cloud before... should of ran a video...
  12. City is about to get smacked! Seeing a bit of bow pushing out..
  13. Little noisy out there to bring an nearly start to the morning. Watching that developing squall line over mid lake. Think that will bring the start of the higher winds when it blows through.
  14. It does help. Just ask your dr or the pharmacist which one to get, they make like 30 different kinds of mucinex now and every one does something a little different depending on your specific ailment.
  15. High dose Sudafed to unplug and drain it all out. If it persists more than 2 days or hits my chest I call the dr for an antibiotic. Mucinex to clear it out. Lots of water hot tea raw local honey soup. Warm mist vaporizer and vicks rub at night. Actually quit smoking when covid started and I know that always made my sinus infections x10 worse.
  16. Somethings go around now. Lot of people at work having “seasonal allergies” and I think a stomach bug might finally be going around. Didn’t really see a lot of people getting seasonal colds and flus this winter until now. I’m always good for 2-3 bad sinus infections every year, knock on wood haven’t had one since January 2020, can’t say the masks don’t work... The first nice day out I did have an allergic reaction after being out doing some yard work. Bad rash and hives on my arms, legs, and neck. Some Benadryl and cordizone cream cleared me up. On the COVID topic had a coworkers son (late 30s no underlaying issues) fall rapidly ill today. Woke up and went to work feeling fine. Started feeling weak and spiked a fever at lunch time. Left work got a positive rapid test went home and collapsed. Got rushed to the hospital and is on a vent in the ICU. Just crazy how a healthy young guy can go from being fine to in the ICU in 12 hours. I think we’re gonna start seeing a spike again soon.
  17. I’m still not sold on this wind event verifying. Very narrow window only 2-3 hours, not seeing the sky clear enough to allow mixing. Thinking we see some good gusts but I’m not seeing this turn into a big damage event.
  18. Maybe a bad map? Don’t see us in the metro gusting over 60 when they are showing a down slope wind coming out of the S - SE. Just browsed the model runs and do see the RGEM is showing a few hours of SW winds getting close to that range on Friday.
  19. Amazing the extremes we can get this time of year. Notice on my FB memories I had a post from the 2012 warm spell about temps being In the 80s. The following day I had one from 2013 about getting back from a Florida trip to a snowstorm. At this point I’m ready for spring and set on snow until November.
  20. Whole family had it back in December... except me! 5 negative swabs over 3 weeks, 3 negative antibody tests... beats me how I couldn’t catch it... Kids were fine after 2 days. Wife had mild flu symptoms for about a week but didn’t have taste smell back for almost a month. Only odd long term thing so far has been hair loss. My wife has been losing an unusual amount of hair recently and another female coworker of mine who had it around the same time said she literally has handfuls of hair falling out daily. This whole virus is just so weird...
