That is stunning. Any filters used?
No filters just some basic processing in Lightroom but the colors were really vibrant then.

Pressure falls continuing (looks possibly like sub 970) and winds starting to catch up. FL winds to 100kts this last pass and SFMR winds coming up at well. Bermuda is in for a serious blow. HWRF brings this to a major right over the island. I think cat 2 is most likely but the ceiling remains low end cat 3
Yeah in this case it will make quite a difference if the center passes north or south of them. North of them and it is with the motion of the storm.

I am starting to wonder about an eventual stall as this thing gets near the coast or perhaps a little inland.

Horribly missed forecast. Predicted 1 to 3 inches and we ended up with .21" total. The 35 to 40 mph winds never materialized either.
It all went to Virginia.

I cannot believe how dry it’s gotten after back to back 9”+ rainfall months at my house. We’re on track to finish with under 1/2” of rain for the entire month and I frankly don’t see another rain chance unless something tropical happens
Yeah we are not getting any rain from this system at this point. NWS will have to catch up.

Bust on the rainfall here that is for sure.

Well so much for any rain in central NC
Yeah that isn't happening at all.

The eastern half of NC could get some heavy, beneficial rainfall over the next couple days depending on how strong the coastal low gets.
yeah I was hoping last night was going to be clear before this for telescope shots but it was not to be.

High of 82.9 low of 71.6 humidity brought heat index into mid 90’s though. 0.53” of additional rain brings the MTD total to 8.39”
The dewpoints are horrible out there.

This has to be one of the worst summers I can remember for dewpoints. I am so ready for it to be over.

10 days since our last rain and still just 1.83” for the month looks likely to be our total
the Raleigh weather dome is holding.

I do think the flash drought last year affected RDUs readings significantly. This summer my station has been in almost lockstep with RDU and it hasn’t been an outlier in central NC like last year. We hit 100.8 which actually was slightly above RDU’s 100 yesterday
Yeah RDU is not an outlier right now.
