  1. 40 in Maytown currently. Snow and Graupel have moved through.
  2. And yet Dallas is 1.5 games out of a WC spot as of now.
  3. Thankful for the .93" of rain that soaked Maytown. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
  4. Clippers are nothing but skippers around here without a digging vort.
  5. Yes! You got Harden and Batum but you forgot Mo Bamba!
  6. Resonated - sometimes it's those little things that are unique to us that maybe others don't understand but at the same time we feel the most thankful for. Enjoy your wintry retreat.
  7. coolest, most terrifying...and strenuous. I had a chance to climb Cape Hatteras a few years ago and wasn't prepared to be overcome with exhaustion at the top. Didn't help that it was 89/77 the day we visited.
  8. Yes sir. That's what I took away from my first trip to Chicago...we were on the lakeshore and if I didn't know better I would have swore I was at the ocean. Pretty cool experience being on the beach with over 2.5 million people directly behind me.
  9. Speaking of maps - I do believe that about a week ago at this time, most "maps" were indicating a big swath of significant snow directly over my house for tomorrow. How are we looking?
  10. Me too! I might have to insert Tua again. He did well for me last week during the Bill's bye week.
  11. Looks like Mammoth has picked up about 4' in town since last weekend. 6' up on the hill.
  12. Bills home game in Orchard Park on Sunday Night Football...
  13. You won't regret it - the Sierra in California is stunning. You'll be close (couple of hours) to Yosemite which is breathtaking but also incredibly packed with people. There's a direct highway from the LA Basin straight to an exit in the Sierra that's only about 5 miles from Mammoth. From memory it takes about 5 hours to get there, but the change in scenery from LA to the Sierra is unforgettable. A YouTube video is easily found online for the entire drive.
  14. We stayed in what's called "The Village" which is why I often link that specific webcam here. It's in very close proximity to the gondola station. There are actually 2 separate gondolas in Mammoth - one is essentially a touristy thing that takes you from the Village to one of the lodges. It's completely free, and it's the one you see in the cams. It was fine. The 2nd takes you from Mammoth's main lodge to the 11.053' summit. It costs close to $40/person. We LOVED that ride! The views at the top were incredible. And the snow in mid May was still well over 150" in depth. (It was nearly 100" at the base, lol)
  15. Yes - he's releasing a new one likely tomorrow after cleaning up from this blizzard. Here's his first video of the season after last week's storm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86dpgRYjOas *By the way - notice that he has front doors on his house on both levels so that he can exit once the bottom half of his house disappears.
  16. Meanwhile - my goodness do I ever miss this place: https://www.mammothmountain.com/on-the-mountain/mammoth-webcam/the-village
  17. We have become so accustomed to AN temps that days like today almost feel "normal"...even though they are not. At least not compared to long-term averages.
  18. It was harden to watch, as sixers fans we know how to maxeymize suckage.
  19. 34, but quite frosty when I left home this morning.
  20. They are an embarrassment. Interesting contrast between Philly's 2 big winter teams - one has talent but very little heart. The other has minimal talent but plays it's ass off every night. I know which team gets my money.
