Nothing greater than winning the World Series than in Veterans Stadium. Too bad that was 38 years ago. This is a true fact, and a testament to my suffering. People make fun of our lack of attendance - what city would support a team as bad as we are? Here's a fact - the Orioles are the fastest team to 50 million fans in any city after they opened a new ballpark. O's reached 50 million in just over 16 seasons. Prior to that though, there were years of 2 million plus numbers at the old stadium. Give us a competitive team, we'll be there.

Yeah, I didn't realize that until a couple of years ago. There's actually a bunch in Buffalo, including one that's right down the road from Rich, I mean Ralph Wilson, I mean New Era, I mean Bills, actually I mean Highmark Stadium. @TimB84 there you go - both the Riverhounds and the Buffalo Bills play in Highmark Stadium.

Weather isn't everything, but everything else revolves around the weather. I long for the days when we sent amateur athletes to compete. Those were the Olympics I loved when I was younger, and what made the Miracle on Ice one of the greatest sports moments of my life.

Welcome to life as Philly winter sports team fan. I was thrilled that the Bucks won last night. 76ers should have taken notes on how TEAMS win. It's about effort and chemistry. Sure, the Bucks might not have won if not for some injuries to stars on opponents, but they sure took advantage regardless. If I hear one more of my 76s buddies tell me that Embiid is better than Giannis, that tells me all I need to know about their knowledge of basketball. Giannis was out of this world when it mattered most.

That's right, thank you. By then it will be just dirt.
