  1. I'm already at 85 (85.2) heading for at least the upper 80s.
  2. Riveting for sure - anxious to see what our micro climate can spit out today...
  3. Ended up getting down to 65 overnight which surprised me - I was thinking I'd post another 70 degree low. Must have gotten some cooling from the storms that passed by to my NE.
  4. High today was 86, it's 77 at 8:25pm. About the same as last night, though even more humid.
  5. It would have been interesting to see how hot it would have gotten if not for the hour or so of cloudiness...station is up to 85.8 now and still rising...
  6. We...are an awesome group. What other region can have multiple pages to discuss a partly cloudy, warm and humid day in mid-September? We got Bubbler breaking down cloud cover by county sections. We got PaWeather giving rainfall amounts for areas 1500 miles from here. We got the trainer talking about freaking sprinkles. Throw in some obs from Cash and the Candyman, and we got 'er covered. We get all serious about all forms of weather!
  7. It started dropping immediately with the onset of the cloud deck. Breeze has stiffened...pretty remarkable change in the weather that happened quickly.
  8. In 30 minutes time the sky has gone from clear (with haze) to nearly 100% overcast...in fact, it was sprinkling a few minutes ago. My temp is down to 78.8
  9. It's intriguing to me as well - you would not think of my area as a heat island in any way whatsoever...not sure why this has been happening repeatedly. Nut just posted an 80 in Elizabethtown - much more urban area than mine, just a few miles up the road, and yet somewhat significantly cooler. E-town is at a higher elevation, but not THAT much.
  10. The 84 on that map...is literally 1 mile down the road from me. 84.4 here now...was 83.7 when I last reported the 84 reading.
  11. So far, full sun here...she's cooking... I say that, but there is a nice breeze. It doesn't feel that bad at all outside.
  12. That is unbelievable...I'm at 81.4 25 minutes later.
  13. Something weird happened last evening...Canderson spiked to 82 after dark, I was still at 77 at 11pm. I was kind of surprised I got "down" to 70 last night. Whatever, but last evening was an incredibly mild, humid evening after dark. My wife was out and came home around 9pm and was going on about how "hot" it was outside...and she is NOTHING like me. For her to say it was hot was telling.
  14. Cold, clear winter nights...York city is probably +8 while the airport reading is -11. You're absolutely right... THV has been on occasion the 2nd coldest airport in the state behind Bradford on those kind of nights.
  15. MDT got down to 69? Good for them, LOL...my low was 70!
  16. I was super jealous! I'll be at 2 games this year (Indiana and Illinois) and cannot wait. I was soaking the energy in through my big screen on Saturday. I am beyond ready to tailgate with family and resume enjoying spectacular Saturdays at the Greatest Show in College Football! Glad you had a wonderful time!
  17. Ended up reaching 87 here...about what I expecting last evening. Still 80 as we approach 7pm.
  18. Satellite shows nothing over Buffalo NY when the team in black and gold has the ball. 54 total yards from the offense...you can't ask your defense to make up for that level of ineptness.
